Can you please confirm what minute of her debut we are going to have our choreographed cheer this evening?! After she enters stage, but ONLY after the second "students". So just to be clear it's "students, students [cheer]"

Katy Hanna's first "official" day in the show after Kerry Enright left for maternity leave on Saturday and she's debuting as Morrible tonight!
And yes, before any of the die-yards start correcting me that she's been in the show a few weeks I know that she's been gradually taking over from Keret so been playing ShenShen for a while!

And then she pulled this out of the bag last night!
After such a long time with the show I love that she's getting the freedom to do what she wants! She's flawless!

If they had any sense they'd go and see Rachel's show instead though 😉 She's with friends who haven't seen the show... apparently there are still people who haven't experienced the broom & bubble! I've got her very excited to see Ms Verkaik #superelphie

Just stumbled upon this.... geez let mamma breathe, how fast is the flying section especially! Wow - did the MD need to go and pay for parking in the interval?!
I think that's the fastest I've ever heard it and Kerry & Dianne were known for being quite speedy in their day!

I'll be the one laughing when it's announced... I wasn't laughing at the date part dear, especially as it has been discussed on here a few times that it is closing early so it isn't exactly news. I was more just laughing that you consider standing at the stage door and tweeting @ cast members consistantly as cast connections, but you go ahead love. What I assume our illustrious* colleague means is... he knows someone, who knows someone who runs a fan account, and that fan account is for an actress who is quite supportive/friendly with the fan account so rumours & speculation have come from there... *And by illustrious I mean he managed to be involved in the conversation every time the main Wicked page has been locked. Before said person came along the thread never got locked and we all rubbed along nicely...

Jackie was her Standby on the 2nd year of the original UK tour and they would also have both been in the London company together so I would hazard a guess that it's a catch-up with friends!

Yes yes I know about bootlegs and how naughty they are etc... but...
I've been eager to here an audio of Sue Kelvin since she's returned - pleased to say she's still batsh*t crazy/scare small children in her Morrible speech! Hands down my favourite Morrible for this scene!

I get what you're saying and that possible. It's just interesting that one of them was in the cast in the original tour for both contracts and then cast in this tour in the same role... so it won't be a work/performance reason why that would be the case.

My personal dislike with Ms Tucker is an unnecessary gap for breathing... "I'm flying high...... [insert breathe] defying gravity..."
Rachel breathes and breaks the line and flow of the lyric just to stick a belt in there on "..fying"
It's such a personal thing for me but I don't like it!

So still no official word on the potential for the tour being cut short - Zurich is still on sale too! Are we sure it's real then? Where did the news come from in the first place? Two of the cast - one commented on Instagram saying she's been told she was unemployed during a night out & a second tweeted asking if anyone had heard of teaching jobs from July (although that tweet has now been deleted!)

Does anyone think ladies who play Elphaba are sometimes guilty of putting a little too MUCH power into the big numbers? What a stupid question.... (only joking!) I can see what you mean but as with most things on the board I think it's personal preference. I like a belter so I want that power in an Elphie, but I want an actress who can control it and show the power where it adds to the song and tension - Willemijn, Jackie Hughes and Nikki Davis-Jones for my top three power belters (sorry Tucker fans!)

The time has come to plan another trip to London to see some musicals, and experiencing Willemijn as Elphaba is very high on my list. Is anything known about days in march/april (which will probably be when I go) where she will not be performing (days where she'll be away for something else, days she reguarly doesn't perform or ...), so I can avoid buying a ticket that most likely won't let me get that experience? I realise things might change with very little warning, and Wicked is worth seeing anyway but just interested if there's something I can do to lower the chances of not experiencing Willemijn. Willemijn's holidays are online now so you can see planned absences. There will probably be a 9 show week around the easter holidays (early April) where she'll have one show off, if she has the Wednesday evening then Glinda will have the Thursday matinee for example, they both get an extra show off but these won't be announced though. 6 - 8 March 2017 17 - 22 April 2017 22 - 24 May 2017 8 - 10 June 2017

A show report should be sent nightly to the relevant creative team, this details *anything* that happens during a show. Missed acting cues, missed lighting cues, missed sound queues, technical difficulties, mistakes in choreo, if someone doesn't bring on a prop - those sorts of little things. Just stumbled upon this thread and this particular post made me laugh about a post-show report due to technical difficulties! 😂

I would have thought as Hannah Toy is Resident UK Dance Supervisor which involves auditioning new cast, training the tour cast etc with the extra responsibility she'd be last to go on as Swing now and the other ladies would take roles before her?
I'm not aware she's ever been on in a lead role... multiple swing tracks in the same show which always blows my mind how they can switch so quickly!

Does "overheard at stage door" or "mates with the cast" count? 3rd cover Midwife... she's started on the gossip/news front, I hear she's sick of playing 2nd fiddle to the 5th cover!

How long is the Ghost tour out in Asia for?! Are they also only doing Asia or are they coming back to Europe after their initial run!?

Looks as though Laura will be a leading lady very soon... kinda hoping she is the takeover for Willemjin, can't lie. I'd be happy with this, such a talent and great vocals. It would be relatively fresh casting too where Laura didn't get that many shows as 4th in line to the broom....

Do any other shows have two alternates rather than the more usual Standby/alternate/1st or 2nd understudy?!
I agree with a previous post that perhaps both Ruth and Karen were untested and therefore the two of them mitigated any ongoing risk? If you look at other shows who only have Standbys or 1 alternate they're usually seasoned performers aren't they?!

I'm still finding it hard to fathom that even after all this time, they hadn't got venues booked in advance...
I guess they've just run out of time with this due to whatever delays occurred... if venues haven't been agreed and signed up then you've now reached the point that whatever your advertising strategy, it doesn't leave a lot of time to fill the seats.
Sad that it's being cut short!

I've done stage door pre-show only once, I was up for the show with my younger cousins (14 & 16) who were so excited to see Wicked again... we were seeing a matinee and knew the cast wouldn't be out between shows. We queued so they could have photos with Elphie & Glinda - perfectly acceptable haha!
Although I got to massively indulge my inner geek same day, as it turned out Emma was off and Laura Emmitt was making her debut - news that Savannah didn't know when she arrived which I told her haha!

Saw this last night and once again, we both left grinning! Never seen Emma Hatton before and she was very good. A teenie bit riffy and jazz hands-y early on but she soon remembered her character. Her voice is really strong and she's got a lovely tone to it, none of this 'singing down nose' that so many professionals seem to do and her portrayal of Eva was spot on. Gian Marco Schiaretti as Che was fab - he sings, he acts and he's gorgeous to boot! Such a good Che and such a relief he wasn't Marti Bloody Pellow. The orchestration has been tweaked a bit since the last tour but still cracking and in no way did it detract from this fabulous show...unlike the idiot family sitting behind us 😡 but I'll leave that for my post in Bad Behaviour. Have you been in that Wicked thread again? Not sure of the etiquette of mixing threads but thanks to BurlyBeaR for picking this out in the Evita thread... those bloody jazz hands get everywhere!
