I haven't seen it yet, I'll catch up on iPlayer shortly, so will reserve judgement of it until then. I am looking forward to it though - having missed the production completely.
All this furore does tickle me - when I speak to people about the fact I have fallen in love with theatre (they're usually pretty surprised), they have a very strong idea of the closed nature of it, and that it's somehow safe in its own bubble. To a certain extent that's true, but the irony of situations like this...

Perhaps it's due to demand. Hopefully you'll get a ticket once it's sorted.

I went to the Wikipedia to double-check this. I know The Ferryman is his professional stage debut, but I presumed he may well have done some things on stage, as I know that some people go straight into screen work when they turn pro but that doesn't mean they don't have a solid stage background from their training days or in amateur when they were very much younger. So I thought maybe Marwood was being a little unfair, but then I saw this quote (which made me laugh): "In 1990, Considine enrolled to do a National Diploma in Performing Arts at Burton College, where he first met Shane Meadows. Neither of them completed the course." I'm sure it'll be fine. Maybe he'll jump ship before the West End transfer, but the Royal Court run isn't even a month. I'll just keep telling myself this. Hardly bizarre that he dropped out of a national diploma having met Shane Meadows. I'd say they've both done alright for themselves. Give him a bit of a chance first, eh? He's a great actor...

Jeremy Corbyn will resign in the early hours of Friday 9 June 2017. As hard as I try to imagine that, and I do try hard, I just can't imagine him ever resigning. I originally helped vote him in, but I am utterly sick of that man's ineptitude and completely blind arrogance.

Also sounds intriguing, 'A new work by Theresa Ikoko'
“From creators Chloe Lamford and Theresa Ikoko comes The Site, the brand new, state-of -the-art venue of The Space Between.
Welcome, the 107,683,902,202nd contestant will join us shortly.
I will be your host. Life points are under your seat. Feel free to use them today. Or save them for your turn. Maybe soon…

The final level.
What’s next?”
Sounds a lot like audience participation, which straight away puts my back up, but it does sound interesting...

Well, I've bought a ticket for "A new work by Nathaniel Martello-White" to see what is going on. Let's hope it proves interesting! That was the one that caught my eye too. Having enjoyed Torn helped. Not sure about these though...

Many thanks!! I wonder what will be left for those without memberships by the time general sale starts. I'm guessing with Olivia Colman, not much... There should be always Friday rush! I don't have any membership but I have always managed to get tickets at the National. Good to hear - Never tried for that. Will give it a go. Big fan of LK.

If you select the address bar then press enter again, the page should load properly. It just seems to have an issue loading first time from an external link. Many thanks!! I'm a theatre newbie of only really the past 18 months / 2 years or so, so I very much feel like 'I shouldn't be there' when I'm in most theatres, but admittedly it adds to the excitement for me. Never been to The Old Vic before and I'm sort of dreading my first visit when I see Woyzeck, but also very excited, feel like a naughty child.
It also kind of helps when there are awful people about, as I don't feel like it's my space to feel over protective about.
Always felt relaxed at the Royal Court though, probably largely because they seem to put on a LOT of things that appeal directly to me. Although I have come across some right *#@+$ in the queue for upstairs...

The unicorn is another theatre that is disgustingly focused on the young crowd....I means it's programming is quite often just childish.....when oh when will theatre start catering for the more mature audience? WHEN? At the risk of sounding a complete tit, I assume this is sarcastic?

There's no need to be that way to someone's genuine question... feeling intimidated by theatre crowds is a common reason for not going, and even us seasoned types have our spaces we don't like going to because of the 'crowd' there. Personally I've never felt too bothered by the RC but funny enough the Sherman where this is in Cardiff has that exact effect on me! Side note, Gary Owen once read 'Goodnight Moon' to me (and others, it's not that creepy a story) and even with his hard-hitting writing I can never get that image quite out of my head now... Same. Royal Court doesn't intimidate me so much, but plenty of other theatres do. I, for some reason I can't quite fathom, always feel like I shouldn't be there. Guess that's part of the buzz for me...

Definitely reckon it'll be 3+ hours - ATG has this on the booking page. "This production will have a 20 minute Interval and a 5 minute comfort break" Completely missed that first time round, thank you! Betting that the comfort break will happen at the end of Act 1 (when Honey rushes out to be sick), with the interval occurring between Act 2 and 3. Spoiler alert.

Not going to make it to this so picked up the text. Not sure if it really needs to be seen? Others can attest to that - I didn't get the feeling I was missing out on too much by only reading it. I like Luke's character a lot, but overall was slightly disappointed. Found it pretty didactic, but it's a very zeitgeist-y piece and look forward to what the writer comes up with next.

During the presale I saw there are £10 'lucky dip' seats where u could end up with any seats, and they're allocated on arrival.
2 questions really : 1 - what's the worst seat you could get? I believe some are standing? 2 - does anyone know, from experience, if you will need to get there really early to get the best of these seats allocated to you?

As a massive Philip Ridley fan, I predominantly loved it and thought the performances were excellent. Also I totally forgot Jamie Lloyd was the director, which is absolutely a positive in this context. It is a particularly peculiar piece though, and while I did get a little too much enjoyment out of the facial expressions of some of the younger audience members around me, I did also wonder what exactly it was about the first time I saw it (at the Arcola) that didn't discourage me from ever going back for more Ridley. Agreed, I thought the performances were great all round. Tom Rhys Harries in particular I think.

It's a long thin space and the performers move around a lot, so sometimes they'll be miles away and sometimes they'll be super close. Personally I reckon you could do worse than the middle, but if that fills up before you get in, turn right and sit in the half of the room with the fridge in it, not the left half with the armchair. Other than that, make your own choice, and accept it's not going to be perfect wherever you sit. What did you think of it Baemax?

Saw preview of this tonight and really liked it. A lot.
Anyone else going?
The seating arrangement is literally all over the place. A long strip with the stage in the middle and the audience seated either side on chairs, stools, chests of drawers with pillows on etc etc.
