As this sold out run comes to an end, will we get any news of the shows future?

Anyone seen any offers floating around for the Southend run this week? Tempted to give it a shot but the prices are putting me off. No but I’d be interested too… the theatre is empty!

This is what has put me off seeing Frozen - I just don’t want to sit in an auditorium full of little kids who don’t know how to behave in a theatre. Same goes for the Lion King. If there was an adult-only performance, I would absolutely book. Usually I would agree with this but when I saw Frozen the children were the best behaved people in the auditorium… Agreed, most other shows in the west end have worse behaved audiences.

Saw this for the first time at the Floral Pavilion a few days ago. We had a few alternates on, for Mrs Johnstone, Mrs Lyon’s and Brenda. The entire cast were fantastic. Full standing ovation at the end. Mickey and Eddies actors were both great, but at no point did they feel the same age. Lots of crying around me. Though one very sad moment was undercut a bit after loads laughed after getting a fright because of the (very loud) gun shots. This is definitely a show I want to see again! If you saw it on the Thursday, Niki has Thursday matinées off. You will have seen Sarah Jane Buckley as Mrs Johnstone, Chloé Pole as Mrs Lyons and Jess Smith as Donna Marie/Miss Jones. Niki was performing at the matinee I saw last year.

So now the 2023 panto has come to an end then it is time to start speculating about what will be the panto later this year. There was a few members speculating that it would be sleeping beauty - the panto landing page has been updated to a purple background with gold lettering very similar to the colour scheme used for other versions of Sleeping Beauty produced byCrossroads. palladiumpantomime.com/Logo / colour scheme here www.pantomime.com/venues/darlington

I thought it might be fun to start a thread about the rumours we have heard for 2024!
I would start, but I've got nothing!

Popped into the Palladium box office today to see if there were any options to upgrade our £20 seats. I was hoping for a bit of friendly reassurance TBH. Had a rather acidic response from the person helping me. It started with a ‘you can’t believe what you read online about seats. One person’s ’restricted view’ is another person’s ’happy seat.’ This then segued into ‘you’re telling me you’re surprised the ‘severely restricted view seats have a severely restricted view?’ when they checked my booking. And it was all topped off with an eye-roll when I said that ‘the theatre forum I read had said these seats were a great bargain last year, but obviously the scenery is different this year.’ So, you can ‘upgrade’ seats if there’s availability, and they levy a charge of £3 per seat to do it. Always had similar experiences with the attitudes of the BO staff there!

Looks like it’s sold very well this year.
Every year I’ve managed to get a couple of good stalls or royal circle seats down to about £35 within a day or two of the performance. Looks less likely this year!

Back in good old form this year. Act 1 ended with a great special effect only the palladium can deliver. A tribute to Paul o Grady too. Can you give us a clue? (Spoiler tags maybe?))

Hello,
Due to there being no transport, where does everyone recommend to park on Boxing Day? Not too expensive! Don’t mind taking a few tube stops.

To be fair, it's had a lot of success and a pretty decent run here in London. Firstly there was that huge run at the Prince Edward Theatre. Then it returned and Ben Joyce was discovered and it run for quite some time at the Trafalgar Studios. Maybe it's just time? Not forgetting e Piccadilly run.

Do we know anymore about this yet? Dates and maybe a theatre? When might tickets go on sale? Feel like it would fit in the Noel Coward! It's going to the Noel Coward. Just seen that Dr Strangelove is going into the NC from October 2024. Unless they are waiting until 2025, or a limted run prior to this.

Does anyone know if this your features any set that flys in?
I saw it in a small theatre a few weeks ago and there was no additional set apart from a small Kitchen in act 2.
I’ve seen videos of, I think previous tours that had a lot more set to it.
Just wondering if it was cut due to space issues or if they don’t use the extra set now.
