Apparently was going into the Prince Edward but MJ is being considered for there now. Theatrefan saying it’s back on maybe?

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's going on a London run. Before you click on their main website there is a description under the link saying "Official website for the UK Tour and London run of Disney's Bedknobs & Broomsticks the Musical." That has always been there, and once you go into the website it used to say prior to the West End but this was taken off before the tour started. I’m afraid nothing can be read into what it says on Google.

Did we know that Kevin Clifton's co-star will be Maisie Smith, with co-choregraphy by Jason Gilkison? I knew. And Jason Gilkison is Australian, like Craig Revel Horwood Kevin and Masie have been doing the media rounds for a couple of weeks.

So I see the tour is now closing on July 31 at the Sheffield Lyceum instead of the scheduled run up to the middle of September. Anyone know why? Is it transferring into town? Poor ticket sales. Many 2 week stints were cut down to 1.

Thriller Live was never produced in the US let alone on Broadway as far as I can tell. That would indicate that this piece was the first chance for US audiences to see a stage show with the music of MJ. l. There has been a Cirque du Soleil show bard around the music of MJ running for years. Very good it is too!

Hello!
With the 3 days of industrial action coming up, how will this affect theatres? I know that a number of performers live outside of London which will make it impossible for them to get home (last trains will be about 4pm apparently!)
Audiences too won’t be able to get home either!
Will shows go ahead?!

I think the plan for a while now has been for a Cinema release in the UK and on Netflix in other countries.

When I saw it in Manchester during the whole Portabello Road sequence with the market stall carts, it looked very cramped. I loved the Under the Brimey Sea and Rob Madge with the florescent puffer fish and all the flying- the bed and the broomstick. I too was hoping for a cast recording. It's great how Disney have trolled through their back catalogue and found an (almost) near-forgotten classic and with some clever direction and stage trickery have turned it into a bloody good stage show. What next? Herbie the Love Bug? Disney decided not to pursue this, hence why it’s produced by Michael Harrison. I’d also say this is the opposite of a near forgotten classic!

A musical of the film Catch Me If You Can was on Broadway in the last 10 years or so!

Mary Poppins extended until 2nd October. Perhaps one last extension to cover Half Term then Oliver moves in before Christmas?
