There are some T-Shirts for sale on the night(s). Nothing fancy-just something simple that commemorates the anniversary. All for charity. Only 2 sizes I am afraid. No programme but there is a cast crew credit sheet/ song list that we are giving out at the END of the concerts as I am hoping not to spoil the surprises. Not that there will be dancing bears or camels! We tried. George didn’t like them.

Have very fond memories of the London and UK tour productions and, having missed out on tickets for the original night, I was very tempted when I heard about the additional Monday performance . . . then both the kids tested positive for Covid, so we’re not going anywhere for a bit Hope all that attend have a great night(s) and report back - sounds like it’s going to be great!

Could I suggest anyone going on Sunday night uses spoilers or doesn't give too much away for the people who are going on Monday. From the comment above about the cast/crew/song list is being given put at the end suggests there are going to be some surprises so we don't want to spoil it.
Oh and my tickets just arrived.

It was nearly 3 hours. I will say that they said that everyone was donating their time including the theatre. Alcohol sales alone covered the theatre owners cost and mostlikely made them a profit. My lord, there were gents had bottles of wine and one plastic cup.

Was the person who jumped on stage from the audience and danced at the end the real Philip Sallon? He was there, wasn’t he.

Was the person who jumped on stage from the audience and danced at the end the real Philip Sallon? He was there, wasn’t he. He was sitting just in front of me. Had no idea who he was and when he came I'm my friend commented on him wearing a helmet. In the interval lots of people taking photos with him go guessed he was someone. Also another man near me in full Lee Bowery drag.

Am wondering if wearing a motorcycle helmet to the theatre would usually get you a mention in the ‘bad behaviour at a show’ thread? But otherwise…ICONIC (and I hope I’m wearing a floor length Pucci print gown when I’m 71.) We also spotted Rusty Egan. Who else was in? I feel very conflicted that Marilyn wasn’t there (assumption based on Marilyn’s insta/behaviour.)

I thought this was a fun night. Like others, I will not post thoughts until tomorrow (although I might warn people going tonight that we’re doing this out of general good manners and not really TO KEEP THE SECRETS.)
Having recently started HRT I would say that John Partridge might need to be available to all peri-menopausal women on prescription. That man just has absolute sexual magnetism, whether he’s dressed as a cat, or Marilyn.

I feel very conflicted that Marilyn wasn’t there (assumption based on Marilyn’s insta/behaviour.) I am pretty sure there were other notable people in the audience although I didn't recognise anyone. But you know when you see someone and think "I am sure you are someone!" there were a few like that. Boy George sat in the stalls for Act 1 dressed in a gold sparkly jacket and a very tall sparkly black hat. Another culprit for the "bad behaviour" thread under different circumstances. It was quite funny when people were asking Philip for selfies as the organisers were trying to get everyone back into their seats for Act 2 to start but he was causing a blockage with everyone crowding around. A man asked for a selfie with his friend/partner and Philip told the one taking the photo the best angle to take the picture. He then asked to see the picture and get the guy to zoom in on his face, wasnt happy with the result so made him take the picture again. Brilliant!

Was the 'Boy George' you describe sitting fairly near the stage on the Stage Right side? Because that was a lookalike! Caused much confusion.
Sporty Spice was in one of the boxes!

I want to go again tonight! If I hadn't booked a ticket for Moulin Rouge I'd be back there again. Ive just had a look out of curiosity and tonight is nearly sold out, just a few seats at back of the stalls with some in dress and upper circle. I know tonight has some discounts but that's pretty good going and more money for the charities.

If anyone doesn’t want to wait u til after tonight’s show this is how to post a spoiler. You have to be in the full “Create Post” editor, not the Quick Reply option. Youllget a line of buttons at the top, the Spoiler is the one I’ve outlined in red. When you click that the Add Spoiler box will pop open, type in the spoiler body then click the Add Spoiler button. That will put the spoiler into your post, don’t forget to click the Create Post button to finish.

My thoughts! {Spoiler - click to view} Lots of fun! Great atmosphere. A bit rough round the edges but impressive considering everyone was giving their time for free with presumably little tech rehearsal time. I thought the staging was nice and simple.
I don't think there were any other 'surprises' beyond the casting that was previously mentioned (a pre-recorded video link from Luke Evans was included). Matt Lucas conspicuously absent - did he and Boy G fall out or something?
Nice cameos from original cast members - basically multiple who had previously played the role did different bits. The Marilyn concept was a bit odd as two people played him all the time (my partner who doesn't know the show or its history was a bit perplexed by this).
Philip Sallon in the audience and jumped on stage at the end.
Finale speech from Boy George, hinting that he'd like to see the show revived soon.
T-shirts were in S, M, L and XL!
Everyone was given a cast list (A4 folded) at the interval.
Hopefully lots of money raised!

Thanks BurleyBeaR Here goes as not done a spoiler before {Spoiler - click to view} I hope those who went on Monday night enjoyed the concert as much as we did on Sunday night. Firstly, and for the second time this year when seeing a "concert" this was no concert. Well staged, costumes, dialogue and no one wandering around with scripts in their hands. It has obviously been so well rehearsed. I have only seen Taboo once, a few years ago in Brixton so its not a musical I know that well but have been listening to the music for the past few weeks and it really does have a great score. This was another "event" with a very enthuastic audience although several people seemed to have bladder problems last night with constant visits to the toilet. Why don't people go before they sit down? There were some wonderful performances, especially from Paul Baker as Philip Salon, and Declan Bennett as Billy, but the whole cast were excellent. Then we had the special appearances and we weren't disappointed. John Partridge was outstanding and it was great seeing Julian Clary, Diane Pilkington and who knew Sally Ann Triplett had that voice inside her. Even Luke Evans making a video appearance was brilliant. And it sounded amazing. I was just looking at the cast list and there were 47 in the cast plus 8 in the band which is huge. Nice to see adamk who was the producer and has posted on here make a speech at the beginning and you could tell how thrilled he was that this night was happening. Well done Adam you have all done a fantastic job. January which is usually a miserable month has turned out to be quite iconic with this and the Bonnie & Clyde concert. I think February is going to be a bit of a let down.
