Not surprised by The Jungle Book winning Visual Effects, especially considering the entire thing was visual effects other than the young boy!
Expecting La La Land to win Editing next...

Not surprised by The Jungle Book winning Visual Effects, especially considering the entire thing was visual effects other than the young boy! It'd be more of a shock if it didn't win! Shows how far CGI have progressed. Kubo was visually stunning and really showed off how good stop motion can be but Jungle Book edged it.

Wow, didn't expect so much love for Hacksaw Ridge, especially with all the Mel Gibson stuff, but glad to see it do well!

Can someone prod me or something as I'm nodding off. My dry run last night evidently didn't work.

Just had a 5 minute panic when my link died - all back working. Missed the Hamilton bit though, just turned it on and there a car on a stage!!

Halfway through now... I imagine from here on out, a couple of surprises, as there always is but there hasn't been massive ones yet... and La La Land will begin to pick up its wins.

I'd say best editing was a bit of a shock

I'd say best editing was a bit of a shock I thought it would be Hacksaw or La La Land, it was a bit of a surprise. I'm meaning, in the major categories though, there is usually one shock haha. So I am still half expecting one.

Emma Stone's dress looks good when it's moving, but I don't like it when still.

Personally would of preferred Emma and Ryan to sing rather than John, but the staging is stunning, what a beautiful design! And the arrangement of the two songs together on piano, it was beautiful. And John was agrear!

Right... Score and Song! Are we expecting it to be both La La Land? I love the Score, and both songs are great! But if the songs cancel eachother out, its Lin Manuel's to win, which would be equally exciting!

Didn't do much for me at all. The staging was good but unimpressed by the performance

Does anyone know what the blue ribbons people are wearing represent? It is to show support of the American Civil Liberties Union.

La La Land wins both Score and Song for City of Stars, and rightly so. A fantastic score!

At this point, La La Land has four awards. I think it will reach 7 or 8. It still has three or four more wins in it!

Wow. Sarah Barielles doing the Memorial section, speechless. And Jennifer Aniston getting emotional introducing her, so emotional. RIP all the legends we have lost this past year.

Moonlight for Best Picture? I have a strange feeling that it could actually sneak in there! I think though La La Land will win Director, Actress and Picture.
