Adrian Lester as Bobby spent the evening drinking spirits, smoking pot, taking coke, visiting friends, clubbing and dating woman. All activities associated with having a good time it was clear he wasn’t having a good time but he was going through the motions, just like all Bobby’s do Yet another night when Baz has no news Does he club them before or after dating them... Baz? Wow, this has taken a dark turn

I wonder why there are no press reviews of this yet. Wasn't last night the press night?

Spotlight has casting notices for principal & understudy Heather Duke Oh! Does that mean that T’Shan is leaving when it transfers? I was hoping she would stay on. I thought that T'Shan was EASILY the weakest of the Heathers (and often looked awkward on stage) so I wonder if the producers are replacing her for the transfer or if she has other commitments?

Is this worth buying tickets for if you arent a Bloom fan? Nope. Nothing special about this play. Save your money and watch the film

9 to 5 coming into town apparently. Not sure where or when but Jackie Clune mentioned it on social media and said she wasn't going to be doing it.

Advice please. Would it be too much of a stretch to do Wed matinee of "I and you" and then Swiss Cottage tube to Victoria for "Hamilton" 7:30 evening. TFL shows only 14 minute ride but I never know if I should trust those. I've never been to this theatre and was also wondering about the seating. From their chart it looks very small. Any cautions abut views? Has anyone heard if Ms. Williams will be doing all shows? Thank you ! Easily do-able. I And You starts at 3pm. Looks like the NYC production was 80-90 mins. Then on Jubilee line from Swiss Cottage to Westminster, change on to District and Circle line and go 2 stops to Victoria. Tube journey maybe 25 mins total. Reckon you would be there at 5pm.

I reckon it will go into the Adelphi from January once Kinky Boots finishes. The Adelphi is 1500 seats, it'd die a death in such a big venue. It's likely to be the Haymarket or a similar sized playhouse. Oh just you wait, ‘enry ‘iggins. Limited run

However, the one thing that stumped me was a choice about midway through the second act to show an image. No spoilers, but when this moment occurred it was like the entire audience drew breath. After 3/4s of a play sliding between silly humour and thought-provoking sincerity, you could've heard a pin drop.
I was silent at this point because I found it to a cheap and unnecessary trick which treated its audience like simpletons. I wasn’t a huge fan of the show before that point but my view of it was definitely soured after that point. It didn’t make me feel uncomfortable or check my conscience. It was just cheap.

I can never fathom why booking opens at 8.30am. Most people are on their way to work / in transit then. Luckily got my tickets for A&C, War Horse (£15 front stalls) and Tell Tale Heart. Will wait and see if they release the £15 for I'm Not Running. They appear to have held them all back for it and A&C. So maybe they will be available on general sale. There were definitely £15 tickets for INR available today. And I saw several for A&C so I don't think a huge amount is being held back. I think they just sold really quickly.

Have to say that booking this morning was the easiest experience I’ve had at the NT in a while. Was able to get the tickets for all the shows I wanted. I even managed to get cheap tickets for the Dorfman shows and for me that never happens. I was surprised I even managed to bag an £18 row B stalls seat for A&C. Logged into the site when it first opened and to my surprise I was in the 100s in the queue rather than the 1000s which is my normal experience. From start to finish a 20min process. Thank you NT for a pain free process. Ooh you can just smell the smug, can't you?

Yes it was painful this morning. The site was sooooo slow to keep refreshing. No £15 front row seats left for whole run of A&C (more to come maybe). Still handfuls of £15 back of circle ones and lots of other price bands. I'm Not Running cheap tickets selling well too.

Polly, I'm afraid I had rather the opposite reaction. I thought David Harrower's new adaptation was efficient and slick in its storytelling but lacked, well, drama. It all felt rather flat and undercooked to me with many big moments not given their due. I didn't think the framing device worked particularly well and probably undercut (via foreshadowing) many of those big plot moments. And crucial information got lost. I didn't get one of the great underlying motives for Miss Brodie's reluctance to marry until I read the programme notes after the performance.
Of course, when all is said and done, the play is about one person and Lia Williams's Jean Brodie is quite magnificent. She seemed somehow crazier than I remember the character when played by Maggie Smith, but with a casual every day craziness that passes perfectly for eccentricity. And of course she has charisma to burn. It's never in doubt as to why her students adore her and the men in her life can't get enough of her.
Everyone in the cast is good - Angus Wright, in particular, is pitch perfect - but, for me, this version of the play just doesn't give them enough chances to show it. Ooh can you share the underlying motives mentioned in the programme as I didn’t get to buy one (spoiler free, of course)
