Didn't they co-produce it? So how can she drop it against one theatre but still be pursuing it with another? That seems unfair on Curve. I mean neither actually have a case to answer, cleary, we all i'm sure feel that, but surely both theatres share equal ownership of the decision.

@andyh have you tried using TrainSplit? I've only just discovered it but got some good bargains. I want to see a bit less, spend less and keep a (middle aged spread) sheet of theatre tickets. No, i'll have to check it out. Another resolution is to keep a list of shows i've seen and when, or at least keep the tickets so i know! Often times i just get rid of the tickets or lose them!

To spend less! Not to see less. just to spend less. So be less picky about seats, take advantage of offers and sales, use rushes and lotteries more, use cheaper hotels, pre plan so i can take advantage of cheaper rail fares...all of which is stuff i have a habit of not doing for various reasons including being both a bit of a theatre seat snob and a hotel snob...I've started well because my upcoming London trip in January is probably going to turn out to be my cheapest theatre trip/stay there ever, so hopefully it's something i can continue.

Are lottery tickets for this just random seats or is it a specific area/row?

Is Danielle Fiamanya down to cover any roles in this? I saw her in Curves The Color Purple as Nettie as she was excellent and she's not long won a The Stage Award for that role, it seems a bit of a waste if she's just in the ensemble. Amazing voice. She's 1st Cover Lady Capulet and 2nd Cover Juliet 😊 Oh that's good. Is Grace classed as first cover?

I can tell you what my last 3 days have been like and that's hell because i have the norovirus and it's genuinely the worst thing i'vem experienced and had to have 999 out twice. Apparently it was also causing me to have panic attacks as well on top of it and making it all worse. Starting to feel a bit better this morning so hopefully it eases of in time for Xmas Day.

Lots of stuff been announced already, so what is your No1 musical you are looking forward to next year?
Sorry if I've missed anything out or not included your fave, just let us know your choices in the comments! (I've not included any tours of existing productions or shows that are coming back in their original form after only a brief time.)

I'm a big emmerdale fan so feel like I should be rooting for Kelvin but I prefer Karim. That jive to You Can't Stop The Beat is one of my fave strictly dances ever. I doubt he'll win though.

Personally Id be more ashamed of saying I'm voting for a party who at best are lying about their ability to afford all the ideological policies they are putting forward or at worst, genuinely going to bankrupt the country trying like they did last time, than I would admitting I vote Conservative. But that's just me.

Sandra Marvin seems to be leaving as she's been announced as part of the cast for Romantics Anonymous starting next month.
What is with the constant cast changes in this show, its getting beyond a joke. People don't last for more than a couple of months.

What are you looking forward to next year? How do you feel about the year of shows that's been announced so far?
For me, this time last year I was very excited about 2019, there were so many shows I couldn't wait to see and to experience. This year, other than a handful that I am excited about, the rest are between "guess I will see it" and "not interested at all".

Interesting. I wonder if the set will be adapted. I don't think it was designed for touring.

That's the problem with shows coming over that are so hyped and you already know several of the songs from, sometimes it can be a bit of an anti climax actually seeing the show. Though that did't happen with Hamilton or Come From Away for me, bit it did a little with this show.

That's what I thought and it opens very soon in February? Who is going to do that show now? Lucie Jones was what I heard.... But its been announced she's returning to Waitress after Sara's stint, as far as i remember.

The name of the show is the draw. Which musical theatre performer is cast makes next to no difference. The general public and tourists haven't a clue anyway.

I have to be honest and say I wanted to love this more than I did. I did like it, I did enjoy it, but I wanted to absolutely love it and it didn't quite reach those heights for me.
I couldn't fault Sam Tuttys portrayal in terms of acting, he was sensational, but I did find I wanted more from his vocals at times.
I actually thought Jack Loxton almost stole the show.

Made a return visit last night, although in a much cheaper seat thanks to TodayTix rush. This does seem to be selling very well. The Stalls were very full and there were people upstairs, although I couldn't see how many. There were also long queues to pick up tickets so I didn't have much time to spare when I made it to my seat. The Rush ticket was off to the side of Stalls Row Z. Much further back than I'd like, but there was a clear view of the stage and it was interesting to see the big numbers from that distance. The sound is clear there also. Not much to add really to my previous comments. All of the leads were on (don't know if they've missed any shows yet) and Michael Brandon has improved since first time around. Brenda Edwards still steals the show. The same young girl was on as Susan as last time and she was particularly confident. I won't get back this year, but hopefully this production will run again somewhere next year. I would say the Dominion would be perfect to host this every year, but they have a big budget show coming in which I'm sure they will be hoping lasts beyond December 2020. I was in at the matinee and that seemed pretty full in the dress circle. Good seat via the today tix rush, very happy with it. Enjoyed the show again but think I preferred Emma Williams to Danielle Hope. But preffered Clare Halse to Monique Young.
