Those Whitney songs are not easy though so you need a real vocalist to pull them off night after night.

There does appear to be a balance of musicals/ plays as far as I am concerned. Theatre is a business too and if musicals sell more tickets then that will always prove the decider in the end. With all the doom and gloom of the last few years musicals will always in my view bring out an audience feeling more positive in the most part.

Enjoyed this today. Assuming Sara Crowe been out for the run as we had Tariye on too. For Abba fans there is plenty to enjoy with references and snatches of the music throughout. Plenty of gay references too !

In the Tim Rice show I saw on 10th Feb he mentioned how he hoped Aida would come to the UK soon. They did a song from the show but as I'm not familiar with the show can't remember the title! It was a good song though, that I remember.

Just back from an amazing night with Sir Tim Rice at Malvern Theatre. There is one night left in the tour in Newcastle on Sunday. See it if you can, amazing singers too Ricardo Alfonso, Dean Chisnall, Laura Tebbutt and Shonagh Daly. www.theatreroyal.co.uk/whats-on/an-evening-with-tim-rice/

A lovely version of one of the classic catalogue when Burt got his award at the White House. Rumer talked a while ago about this performance and said she was terrified when singing it, you wouldn't guess it.

Burt was such a class act with ageless songs that will last for ever. RIP.

Agree with all the comments, exceptional acting and writing throughout. If there is any justice it should clean up at awards season.

On Wednesday night at the end of A heart Full of Love Cosette's voice really cracked on the high note at the end and she didn't get it all all. Jon though was great as was David. One of the best 'Stars'I have ever heard.

Had my second visit on Monday. Still a great show although audience response not quite so big as when I saw it back in May . Seemed full though .

Saw Les Mis last night and thankfully Jon and David were on. The show was in great shape although some elements don't get the response they used to .

Did anyone catch Melody’s version of I Have Nothing on EPOS? Just listened to it back, ok but not brilliant . Her voice can't hit the high notes required.
