agh..Taylor Swift. Anyone but her. The rest seems fine. Hudson over-sings, but I generally like her. Except I have no idea how this will be done. I cant remember where I read it but apparently its going to be motion capture like Planet of the Apes or Avatar and they will look like real cats. I'm not sure how the dancing will work lol

So, do we have any idea when the Menier will announce their Christmas musical?
What are people hoping for, or are there any rumours what we might be getting this year?

Oh its sounding better, I might give it a go. How does it actually work getting seats at hope mill? do you just queue and hope you get a decent view? When you turn up, they give you a coloured ticket/card. There are three or four different colours and each group enters at a different time. Basically, if you turn up early, you’ll be given a ticket for the first coloured group etc... At least that’s how it worked for Spring Awakening. Hope that makes sense! Ah Right, so get there early, do you reckon an hour before the start is enough time?

aww what a shame, the reviews on here have really put me off going to see this now. It has some lovely music that I don't feel such a small band can do any justice to

Has anyone had issues with the ticketing system. I received a new card (but still have the one I paid on) and even after calling to inform them of this my email has arrived with the old details on it. Now I cant seem to get through to customer service after trying on 3 occasions today and I go tomorrow!! aargh!!

^ Ah yes... Michael Ball in his pants...! With that sexy little tash... I do remember him getting a laugh when he sang the line about him being seventeen though! Sarah Brightman- another gorgeous performance, yes... Haha, ive seen 3 different versions of the show and that 17 line gets a laugh every time

And if Tracie Bennett doesn't return then Caroline O'connor would be a great Carlotta

Id love to see Joanna Riding as Sally. She can belt and wouldnt require a key change to sing the higher parts of the role.

If Audrey II is a drag queen then how does the plant eat them? She wont eat them.. She'll just read them or throw shade until they die ;-)

Thanks guys for you knowledge. Ive had a look at the current inheritance layout which is similar to Fun Home and checked out a few pictures and I've asked to be moved back a few rows as I was placed in C and to me it looked a bit near and almost under the stage for Inheritance. I may have made the wrong choice when it comes to Fun Home, but I'll find out in August!!!!
I just wished they had designed it in the round like Broadway, after all I always thought that's why the it was being done at the Young Vic in the first place.

Looking at any seating plan and pictures from past productions there the space only looks to have 5 rows of raked seats? it's always raked, from B back. Hi Theatremonkey, its not in the round this time it looks to be end on. and they've added more rows of seats. I called the theatre to check and they said its all raked but I just down see how they can add more raked seats to the ones that are already there as the stage space is flat until the rake starts and then it only seems to go up 5 rows

Are we thinking by looking at the seating plan that all seats will be raked or will some near the front be flat on the stage? I've never been to the young vic so I don't know what to expect! Just looking at booking for this and the £20 tickets for front row seem a steal, but is it really a problem sitting there? will it be too close to appreciate it?

Oh I agree, The pairing of Joanna Riding as Sally and Hannah Waddingham as Phyllis would be amazing! Can we add Kathryn Evans as Carlotta please? Her voice and style on I'm Still Here would perfect. I'm fan girling already. Please make this happen! Kathryn Evans would be fantastic, Its been a while since I saw her in anything, but that voice is just stunning when her belt power kicks in!!

I would love if they could cast this show with all the West End Divas of the 80s and 90s Sally: Maria Friedman / Joanna Riding / Kathryn Evans Phyllis: Ruth Henshall / Rosemarie Ford (What Happened To Her?) / Caroline O'Connor / Hannah Waddingham Carlotta: Patti Lupone / Elaine Paige Heidi: Claire Moore / Sarah Brightman Stella: Sonia Swaby / Bonnie Langford Unfortunatly i don't know the show well enough however from when i saw it at the National felt it lacked a little something it wasn't all I wanted it to be however can't say i was fond of either Imelda or Janie. It could do with some of our 80s / 90s powerhouse performers maybe throw in Marti Webb / Clare Burt / Gay Soper into the mix Would also be nice to see some great American performers over too Donna Murphy / Audra McDonald / Marin Mazzie etc Oh I agree, The pairing of Joanna Riding as Sally and Hannah Waddingham as Phyllis would be amazing!
