Donmar looks fairly unrecognisable in these shots. Anyone else been yet?

Preview prices are on sale from midday. Lovely of them to send an email at 11am, a whole hours notice! So considerate I only got mine a few mins ago!

So what does seating on stage entail? Is there an ‘immersive’ element? And why are they £45 on the booking page even though the website says they’re £35 for every performance? Interesting, I paid £35. Dynamic pricing again? A majority of the dates have lots of availability so that seems unusual. You're just a lot closer to the action on stage, and for me at the Wyndham's, it added to the claustrophobia of the piece a lot more.

Another one who left at the interval tonight. Dreary enough to match the London weather and couldn't wait to flee.

For every performance, a third of the tickets are priced at £35 or under with the front row available for purchase on the day of performance at £25. In addition, the Donmar will extend its Donmar LOCAL programme to the West End, with free tickets for young people from up to ten schools in Camden and Westminster.

Is there any advice on getting cheap last minute tix I would really love to see the show but the prices are sky high! Weirdly I got mine a couple of weeks in advance and it was £40 whereas for other dates it was £75. Not sure if it was just a glitch or that performance was selling particularly slowly but might be worth browsing the performances to see if there's any difference in price.

One thing I would have liked in the programme is a list of the music used. I noted Marriage of Figaro overture, something from the Four Seasons (Vivaldi's not Frankie Valli's). Anyone know what else was used? There was definitely a piece from Mica Levi's soundtrack to Under the Skin.

Was also at the matinee yesterday (upper circle aisle ticket reduced to £40, thanks again for the tips on that) and it’s an extraordinary performance, which I liked more than the production. I agree with others that I wasn’t expecting to be watching screens quite so much and glad I didn’t pay the big bucks as it’s really not necessary given the mics and screens are clear from further back. But jeeze, what a performance!

Does anyone know when the PWC preview tickets are likely to go on sale for this? I hope I’ve not missed it! It's usually about 6-8 weeks before the show

Hope you don't mind me asking, but could you give details on how that played out? I'm actually very curious now! XD So the person who had the mic starting saying "Hi Matt. Geronimo!" - my boyfriend had to explain that Geronimo was Dr Who related (I have only ever dipped my toe into Who lore) and Matt replied "What are you on about? Who's Matt? This bloke's mad!" and then swiftly moved on to someone else.

I was one of the people on my feet last night at curtain, I thought this was pretty electrifying and Rosie Sheehy was nothing short of incredible.

I was at the last performance on Saturday evening, I assumed the audience members were actors to begin with, only for one to make a Dr Who reference which was when I twigged (Matt did handle it well, though). I felt that scene went on too long but otherwise was really taken by it. We were in the front row so were provided some useful covers for the paint scene!

Her journey. Her decisions. Sandra Hüller (Oscar nominee for Anatomy of a Fall) sings and acts the leading role, embarking on an epic journey through extreme emotional and mental landscapes. She is joined by dancers, including some from the Ballet national de Marseille, directed by the revolutionary artistic collective (LA)HORDE, Marine Brutti, Jonathan Debrouwer and Arthur Harel who also co-choreographed Madonna’s Celebration Tour. We follow the protagonist’s attempts to become her true self, defying the roles and expectations society has for her. She reinvents herself in every encounter, every relationship and every city. With I Want Absolute Beauty Ivo Van Hove opens Ruhrtriennale 2024. This emphatic music theatre production with chosen songs by alternative rock star PJ Harvey shows how we can overcome obstacles, grow from them and finally accept that we can only take life as it comes. And that can feel really good! Produced by Ruhrtriennale in partnership with Ballet national de Marseille direction (LA)HORDE. Sounds intriguing!

Agree its not essential but I'd not seen Sir Ian onstage before and enjoyed myself, plus the intimidating running time flew by.

Not quite as bad as Just for One Day but I did truly despise that like nothing else. Bet I have tempted fate and this will be next, now.

Does the box office do day seats day of for this production? Don't think so but the NT Friday Rush is £10 and I got tickets 2 hours after they were made available the other week so think you'd be fine that route.

Some good writing but was disappointed with this. There isn't much (needed) chemistry amongst the cast and a fair few fluffed lines. Sam Goodchild is the standout but sadly isn't in the piece for long enough. A bit baffled by that last scene too. Maybe it comes across better on paper.

Just won the TodayTix lottery for this for Monday 8th. Can't argue with L1 stalls for £20! In case relevant, Monday is a tube strike day so plan ahead if needed.

Thanks so much for this. Any recommendations on seats for this as I understand screens are used a lot so I guess back stalls I would miss these screens? I’ll be going in with very low expectations!! There are TV monitors on the side for those unable to see the screens but yes would recommend sitting more forward to see the screens.

On my way home. Not quite a car crash but a hot mess of a production. Not quite as bad as Just for One Day but I did truly despise that like nothing else.
As a big fan of the film, I didn't find it hard to follow as such (of course you shouldn't have had to see the film to be able to follow the plot) but its so so muddled!!
There were some moments I really enjoyed, especially the number between Sheridan and Nicola Hughes after the interval. But the book is so repetitive, and the claustrophobia of the film is broken up by the endless stream of average music!!
Sheridan clearly believes in it and was great. I'll be gutted for her if it closed early but its absolutely not her fault. I was still rooting for it but there is one scene in act 2 which is so appalling I mentally threw in the towel after that.
