That's pretty standard, unfortunately. Is this a dig at David Witts? Do we know why his attendance was poor? A proper illness or Martine-itis? Not a dig at all re missing shows. He seems a lovely bloke but his portrayal was not for me.

I may have worded that wrong, I had nothing against the photo, it's more about logistics. There is often limited room at tour stage doors so unless you are right by the door you are not going to see anyone. Yes the two leads might stop and see everyone but ensemble generally won't. They'll say a quick hello to those right by the door and then leg it as they assume nobody else is waiting for them.
Unless you ran to SD after the show that meant that nobody else further back got the chance to have any kind of conversation.
People can get a million things signed and be at stage door 24/7 if they want, I don't care, but if in doing so it means they are depriving others of any kind of experience then I do care. It's just about being mindful to others.

Very wise words martello736 and beautifully written. I guess we all need to take a step back from the madness sometimes and look at the bigger picture because in the general scheme of things and especially when you see what else is going in in the world, it is not that important. However, we cannot always ignore the "bad behaviour". I assume you are referring to people being upset about comments about fans at the recent tour. I remember seeing a photo of a signed haul from that tour and every ticket, leaflet and everything else was signed. Maybe fifty odd signed things. Which is fine, but I saw that tour maybe ten times and my programme is almost empty. A quick hello, one signature and me being able to say thanks ONCE all tour would have been lovely but that didn't happen. Others have different expectations which is fine but you DO have to be mindful about the effect your behaviour can have on others. I felt very much like I had no right to be at stage door at all and felt like absolute rubbish to put it mildly. I'm sure most performers like to meet their regular fans at stage door, I'm certainly not saying they don't, I don't speak for them or know their thoughts on the matter, but I'm pretty sure they'd like the opportunity to meet less-regular fans too. It's different in London when the stage door has space, it's not always the case at regional venues. It would have been nice for the super fans to step back sometimes and let others have a moment. That's all.

I imagine she's received a thousand tweets asking if she is going to the stage door, hence this response.

You'll never beat the first time Rachel Tucker left when you had people camping for a whole week and seeing every show that week as well as permanently hanging around stage door all week.
I love the woman but doesn't there come a time when you say "I've met her ten times this week already I don't really need to meet her for an eleventh time"?
I'm so socially awkward with anyone I like at stage door anyway and never know what to say so I can't imagine ever doing this.

Did they not just do the evening show, come out, "stage door" and then just start the q?
I'm sure cast members love nothing more than meeting people tonight then before the matinee tomorrow, then after the matinee and then after the evening show.

While I admire the commitment it really is not safe and should be strongly discouraged.

It's the "stars" previously announced that have made the tickets pretty much sell out.
I'm glad to see MT names make up the rest of the cast rather than random people from Eastenders.

I’ve just checked my ‘queue-cam’ app, and there are 3 people and a dachshund currently in the Saturday line at the Apollo Vic (although the dog has the wrong theatre and thinks he’s there for ‘Billy Elliot’...keeps asking if Tom Holland is on whilst rutting against a lamppost). Of the three people there, one has a ‘Grimmerie’ themed scrapbook under her arm covered in black netting and talc, and bursts into tears every seven minutes. The other two are a couple from Barnsley, He has a microwave under his arm and she has made Nutella topped flapjacks for the cast. Lets hope that there are no allergies. That brings me back to the days of Rachel and Louise when they both had that breed of dog and frequently brought them to work. There was lots of dog fangirling and dog related gifts that year!

It's going to be such a momentous event that it should be announced on the hour every hour until the show begins.

Yes the dayseats and today tix daily allocation are under thirty quid but those are only good for locals or those prepared to chance it.
Those travelling a long way generally want to buy their tickets in advance so these tickets are no good for them.
If the tickets were priced as they are now when I started going to Wicked I probably would not have gone. I certainly would not have gone back time and time again.

And Javert can search for news of the enemy's movements from their twitter posts...
I saw those posters all around Newcastle today for the forthcoming tour. That line is from a review though it's not immediately clear that is the case on the posters.

There is an understudy slip stuck up behind the bar in the upper circle. Sadly it's not easy to see. Price lists not easy to see either. I bought the most standard cider bottle available and nearly fainted when I was told £7.20.

I know that a lot of shows do not publish the schedule of the children for child protection reasons.

If you could rummage through it all, which single prop would you appropriate from the iconic original Les Miserables? Are we allowed to choose Bradley Jaden? 😍

They were for a campaign a while back and I'm not sure many of them are still up around London. I've certainly not seen any for a while.

The Rachel Tucker fan club.
Day seat for every show in the week. Watch the show. Rejoin the queue straight after...
Crazy times.
