Queuing again for tonight's show. Just mentioned to one of the ushers that I'd been in earlier and she said the show had a totally different energy with Linzi.

Just got a text as I was going tonight! Same. Hoping cast and crew are well. Almost arrived in London when got the text. But going to still enjoy the restaurant we'd booked. I waa sat in Palladium waiting for Joseph matinee to start. At least I've got to see one show.

Brilliant first act! The atmosphere is buzzing and Linzi looks like she's loving every minute. Huge applause when she came on stage and nice little reference to "30 years ago" during Potipah's song.

Sat waiting in theatre and just got message that tonight's Cinderella is cancelled. Before I opened it I thought it was going to refer to Joseph and my heart dropped

I'm going to be following dontdreamit fashion trend and will also have a stick. Probably pink polo and wearing a "The show must go on" facemask. Would be great to see and say hello to you all. And my contribution will be blue shirt with waistcoat and a 'show must go on' facemask. Getting excited now, it's a lovely morning here in London so about to go for a little wander.

I've had an email with my ticket for Saturday matinee but then got another email with my name but someone else's booking details for Saturday night which is a bit worrying! If this is true, that's an awful breach of GDPR. Fines incoming... There were no personal details in there. Just seat number and performance times. Worked out it was actually my booking for Cinderella in the evening

Ok this is probably going to be a bit controversial but I could never see how the Angel actually fitted in the story. If Raoul and Christine have run to the roof then it actually makes no sense to have the Angel there. And whilst I actually loved the spectacle of the Angel rising as the Phantom sings, it didn't make sense logically to me. At least the Phantom appearing from behind a statue which is part of the Opera House roof is more logical. Or is that just me being obtuse? The Liberty Angel is part of the actual physical architecture and decoration of the Paris Opera House roof. It's a legitimate reference to the architecture of the setting. I never realised that was there. I visited the Opera House years ago and was completely mesmerised by the staircase and all the sculptures but I never noticed that one! Don't know how I missed it lol Puts the scene in better context now.

Well ALW has been an inspected the new set. Ominous that it contains "tributes to Maria Bjornson" ... There's a picture in a linked tweet of the new proscenium arch being loaded too

The fact that you meant your original post, dared to defend it and then posted this is worrying in the extreme. I suggest your find yourself a course on appropriate use of language and enrol on it. OK, I was in two minds about whether to respond to this, but here goes… Firstly, I’m gay myself, so you can pack it in with patronising crap about my language and the implicit homophobe accusation. I did not use “gay” as a slur. Secondly, take a look at this… instagram.com/gaysovercovid?utm_medium=copy_link That’s the kind of behaviour I was referring to. The very small minority of people who don’t let silly little things like travel restrictions or a global pandemic get in the way of their holidays. Thirdly, the person I was thinking of was in those pictures of a packed out Soho when the pubs reopened, and when they closed again he jetted off on a holiday that went from country to country for months, only returning when the show started back up. I’m not saying it’s him that tested positive, but to me it implies that even after being out of work for a year some still aren’t taking this serious enough and this show and others are paying the price. Finally, I have a suggestion for you: how about you stop attacking people all the time? cheers for this Marob As another fellow gayer I have been following with despair the actions of a certain minority who thought the rules didn't apply to them

Would be nice to meet some ppl off of here. I too am there the 17th. Can’t wait to see Linzi again. I’ll either be in something pink or rainbow 😂 lol.. I’m in the Royal Circle A1, I have blonde mid lengths hair and I’ll be wearing a yellow/brown/pink patchwork shirt and blue jeans! I'm in the Royal Circle Row G for the matinee. Haven't decided what I'm wearing yet! Lol

So how are we going to identify our fellow Theatreboarders? We need a sign!

Everyone going on the 17th needs to cheer really loudly for Linzi! I think she will be a bit nervous so let’s raise the roof for her and show our support! please no. A cheer on her entrance but let's hear her sing!!

I think the sets look great but I'm not so sure about the costumes. Some of them, especially Glinda's, look a bit cheap and "plasticy". Of course it's hard to be certain when you only see each for a few seconds so maybe they look better in person. A news report on the production, which gives a glimpse of the new staging of One Short Day. Really don't like what they've done with Glinda's costume. As someone said before it's very "Legally Blonde"

Well that was a fun hour or so. Surprisingly few showtunes but lots of camp classics and definitely playing to her gay audience. The banter in between songs was pure Victoria Wood as Stacey Leanne Paige.

Well I wasn't interested in this when it was first announced but all the varied feedback on here has changed my mind so I've managed to book a ticket for next Saturday night after I've seen Joseph matinee. Rather excited to be back in the West End for a two show day!

It’s a Theatre Board takeover of the Palladium on the 17th. Brilliant. Maybe get a meet up arranged now things are clearer? Sounds great although apparently I’m expected to be seated by 1.45 prior to a 2.30 start. Hope there’s some good reading in the programme! wow that's early! 2:15 for me

I think the issue will be more around single tickets as when the dates have been put back on sale they are for bubbles of 2 or 4 and if you want a single ticket then, unless you buy 2 seats, you are stuffed!! Definately think we should consider group bubbles for Saturday if that happens. yep I'm frantically watching what's going back up on sale. I've kept my hotel and train booking even though my ticket was cancelled

If I haven't heard anything for Tuesday 13th, do I presume my booking has been unaffected? I booked through TodayTix I would check with them. I had a booking for the 17th via Ticketmaster and that was cancelled way before people who have booked directly with the theatre.
