Clyde has incredibly square ears. Unless he's wearing a fancy collar like the Count in Sesame Street.

Anna-Jane Casey is also 25 years too old for Bonnie 🤣
They look like generic silhouettes rather than actual people but you never know!

Anyone seen any last-minute deals for this? Still a fair few seats left.

4 stars from me, if it got a London residency and they could automate the scenery and make it slightly punchier, it would be 5. There's a lot of charm and magic here, it just needs tightening.

I'm reviewing this on Thursday at Leicester Curve on Thursday (10th Feb), 7.30pm start. They've allocated me a second ticket, if anyone wants to come along on a freebie drop me a message. I'm not a murderer, I promise 😁

There are some Twitter accounts who publish when understudies and covers are going to be on, generally it's for that day's performance unless they know the performer will be covering a whole week's shows.

I was right for both last night, woo hoo.
Sticking with Mark Feehily, Natalie Imbruglia and Charlotte Church for the final. They're also the three best singers so they deserve to be the last 3 standing.

Keala's dad is British and may do what Gillian Anderson does, altering her accent depending on where she's being interviewed. John Barrowman sometimes used to do the same.

Exciting on Hunchback. Shame they're not doing any matinées making travel really difficult. But hopefully they'll get a lot of attendance anyway.

I get that, but the age thing does lose its argument when Megan Mullally was going to lead the Barbican production at 62 years old, Bonnie is only 57 (and doesn't even look that, to be fair). Reno totally works as an older character. Yes, and I said that myself earlier in this very thread, but Mullally has more star power on an international scale, they'd age the character up for her. And Bonnie Langford has way more name recognition to the Anything Goes audience demographic than Kerry Ellis does. No one outside of the Musical Theatre world knows who Kerry is, Bonnie is much more of a household name having been working in the entertainment industry over 45 years.

It's not that Kerry can't do it, she probably can, but to have Bonnie standing literally next to her who is just such an obvious all-round Reno.... it's just bizarre.

I'm reviewing it in Coventry in 3 weeks, hoping to read the book beforehand if I can squeeze it in. Always good to be 20 years behind the rest of the world 🤣

About time too, it's only taken a decade! Great news. There's too much good stuff in there to not make a proper show out of it 😁

“Looking Good Dead’ is more a case of ‘Looking At Your Watch’” 😀 I did actually make myself chuckle when I wrote that 🤣

Lots or you need to go and see this. Mainly because if I had to suffer through it, then you should too. Full review will be posted tomorrow, but yeah.... dreadful! I know it was forgettable but did you forget? Haha, do you know what, I completely did! Here you go if you're at a loose end. I was more generous than a lot of other ones I've read. And spooky that drowseychap and I both thought of Victoria Wood sketches, I hadn't even read his thoughts when I wrote mine! eastmidlandstheatre.com/2022/02/01/review-looking-good-dead-touring-cambridge-arts-theatre/

I will go to my grave not understanding why Bonnie isn't playing Reno. I love Kerry but this makes literally no sense.

Interesting location settings, it seems to think Watford is near Northampton.
And as others have said, not much use to me as a single theatregoer. But if it brings other folks to the theatres then good on it.

I knew it was Joss Stone last year pretty early on. It obviously wasn't Sheridan Smith at any point, I know she has her fans but her voice isn't as strong as that.
I'm still going Mark Feehilly, Natalie Imbruglia, Aled Jones and Michelle Williams. Mushroom was my question mark, if it is Charlotte Church then she's amazing.
