What's the best way to find out which queens will be on on a specific performance in Aug? Check the alternates tweets? Has the Aug schedule been released yet? I am in London for a few days and I want to make sure that I catch certain queens but obviously the quicker I can buy tickets the better.

It's basically just the story of her life turned into a musical. I saw it on Broadway and absolutely loved it, but I was a HUGE Gloria fan back in the day so I was bound to love it. Even won a fan club contest to meet her backstage at her concert.

Phantom for me too. Not a big ALW fan and Phantom is definitely my least favourite.

Aww that's a real shame.. Seems a bit strange that we had Keala in Glasgow but he doesn't take a special guest to every venue.

The fact that they have announced the Theatre Royal in Glasgow concerns me. It holds 1541 and they couldn’t even sell out the SECC last Dec which only hold a couple of hundred. One performance I went to there was barely 100 people there.

Just watching clips and parts of it- I'm overcome with emotion. Long week, don't ask, but oh my life this is so beautiful. I will sadly be in so much regret I never got to see this. Such a pity. Hopefully it isn't too long before a big old fashioned musical is done smashingly on the Olivier, soon! Wait, what?? There are clips?

Just got home from the concert, it was quite stunning. Hugh is a talker....he likes his stories, not that I'm complaining as it meant that he stood still for more than two mins and I got some fantastic photos and videos. The show is a real mix of old and new and there is something in it for everyone. Although I will say that the shed load of kids that were there in their top hats thinking it was a Greatest Showman concert were bored out of their brain. We had loads of them sleeping under coats next to us.

Seeing this on Wednesday in Glasgow. No clue who our 'special guest' is since Keala isn't doing Scotland.
Editing this post to say .... well I was misinformed, Keala was the special guest in Glasgow after all.

Actually I think you're right, the understudies get a lot of love on Instagram (I think Vicki even has her own fan page). I love the fact that they get the recognition they deserve. Shame about Heart of Stone though, it's such a beautiful song that it would be nice if they could just wait to the end to show their appreciation.

Tbh I was glad of a few enthusiastic fans tonight cus the audience was very subdued other than some appreciative ones whooping at the back. But it was full which was good to see. I'm all for a hoot and a hollar in the theatre when appropriate, I've heard stories of it being a bit of an X Factor situation with some of the fangirls though, cheering and screaming during songs, a friend of mine said a good half of Heart of Stone was ruined when she went. I'm curious, are there certain songs (or cast members) that attract more fan girls than others? From what I see on social media it seems that Millie is definitely very popular.

Wow! Since you've seen it with so many combinations, which group of six was your favourite?

Natalie and Maiya are my favourites. Their voices stick out as being the best and most memorable. I definitely agree.

I've seem the show twice:
1st Time - Jaye'J, Millie, Natalie, Alexia, Aimie, Maiya 2nd Time - Renee, Millie, Natalie, Alexia, Aimie, Grace
I enjoyed both shows but I am SO glad I got to see the 6 current leads. I appreciate that Grace is very talented and a superstar for covering all the queens, but I did find her voice to be a little weaker than the rest. I absolutely love Natalie and Maiya's voices and Millie and Alexia are so entertaining to watch.

She seemed to take part in the Mega-Six in this show: yeah I just saw this video too, so I'm confused where this whole "she didn't take part" came from. 😂 I was at the Glasgow show the night Renee was on. She joined the girls for the Mega-Six but for the rest of the show she stood at the side with a script on a table beside her (well it was kinda hidden off stage but my seat looked into the SR wings so I could see her checking it out a lot). She did a fantastic job for just stepping in a the last minute but I know some people around me were confused as to why she wasn't really taking part.

Oh no that’s rubbish! Really sorry! Wonder what’s wrong this time cause it said they had definitely planned to go ahead with all remaining shows. I assume another queen is sick. They’re not having much luck.

I saw the show again this afternoon and was glad I got to see Grace and Renee. I did find it a shame though that as Renee wasn't familiar with the new staging/choreography it meant that she stood at the side for a lot of the show and was hardly even lit. Half the time I could barely see her.

Oh no! I have tickets for the 4pm show tomorrow, hope it goes ahead. I saw it on Sunday and loved it so much that I had to go back before the end of the run.

I saw Patti play Joanne in the Lincoln Centre's version of Company (I was sitting right behind Stephen Sondheim) and she was friggin' amazing. She stole the whole show, not only with her spectacular 'Ladies Who Lunch', but also with her facial expressions during all the dance numbers.

After much research it appears that this is the most uncomfortable theatre in London, or close to it. I've opted for a seat in the lower gallery in the back row cause there is at least a wall to kinda lean on when my back starts breaking. Ugh!

There were a couple of choices of restaurants but we went for Planet Hollywood, so it was just your usual all American burger type thing. Very nice since it was free.

I took my 70 year old mum to see this last week and we both adored it, it definitely has something for everyone. We got a great deal on SeeTickets for rear stalls and a 2 course dinner for £35, since the seats themselves were £35 we effectively got the dinner for free. The seats were all empty around us so we had loads of room to stretch out and a completely unobstructed view.

Many thanks for all your advice guys, am only in London Saturday to Tuesday so Sat night in unfortunately my only chance if I want to see Amber. I will mull it over some more and see if there is anything else I still want to see with the money I'd save by going on the Monday. I think the only musicals I haven't seen are American in Paris and Follies (but that's sold out).

New to this thread so apologies if this question has been asked in the past 194 pages, LOL! I am heading down to London next month and this is on my list of things to see, now do I pay £50 for the chance to see Amber (on a Sat night) or £20 to see her understudy on the Monday night? I'm on a budget so the the £20 tickets would allow me to see other shows, but i'm not sure whether I'd kick myself by passing up the chance to see Amber. Any thoughts?

Not recent sightings, but I sat behind Julie Walters at Wicked once (she seemed to love it) and next to Bon Jovi at Book of Mormon.
