And you can rely on the hardcore Potter fans to shut down anyone (including the press) who tries to defy JK herself and spoil it for others. It may still be hard for the critics to go to town on it once it opens, especially if nothing has leaked throughout previews. Reviews will have to be pretty generic or risk the wrath of fans. Which is fine for a glowing review. But if reviews are negative, they'll struggle to back up what they're saying without being accused of spoiling something for the army of fans who are waiting patiently to see it. I've just talked myself into concluding that it's a brilliant marketing ploy. Baz has already been flamed for revealing various bits (haven't actually read what they are in fear of actual spoilers). It's on twitter for those curious.

Just me who has a strange feeling the reason they are getting Natasha to do all these press and interviews is so that she becomes more well known to carry the rest of the run? I don't want it to be the case as I want Sheridan to return but I have a strange feeling it is all part of a wider plan? I take it you haven't read this thread recently?

I'm also surprised Sheridan Smith is that low down Maybe not a lot of people have heard her version of it. I'm sure Natasha's would be higher.

Seems the official Twitter account for the play is going to be a source of spoilers. It's just tweeted a picture of the set/cast. Ironically with the hashtag keep the secret.

Seems they've added new rows. No idea where row TT is but it now exists, at the back I suppose. Where have you seen this?

Okay, I'm just going to say it, the bit where they say "Ryan O'Gorman as Tom" is making me cringe. I know it's the character's name, but his name is also Collins and that's how he's referred to in the show and how I've always seen him credited before. It's like your mum trying to get in on your fandom and making tiny little errors and embarrassing you in front of all your nerdy friends. Angel too! In fact they've all got surnames on the St James website and I don't think I've ever seen that. Mimi is normally just that, Angel etc.

Love the casting of Layton as Angel. It's been great seeing him go from strength to strength since his Billy days! Not sure about Ross Hunter as Roger though.

Well we could try and establish and 'pin' rules to the top of this thread? For example, is discussing a portrayal of a character that has existed in films and in book for a spoiler? I don't think it is, personally. Unless it was discussing something specific to an event in the play.
Any discussion of set, plot or any kind of FX is a spoiler.

May I suggest that feedback that is basically "I sat here and it was fine" or "I sat here and there were a few scenes where that was a problem" don't count as spoilers as long as they refer to general visibility and not specifically what is on the stage? And therefore talking about your seat and your view isn't going to contravene anyone's polite requests to keep the secrets? This sounds eminently sensible to me! I will try to report back on stalls seating on Saturday. Theatremonkey also appears to have plans to update for the current production. If you could just pop to Row V seat 26 and 27 and let me know the view, that'd be great. If there are people sitting there at the time just ask them to stand up as you'd like to conduct an experiment. Apologies for the double post. Bad form.

The thing I've noted about what I've been able to see of the Cursed Child seating is that there appear to be new additional seats around the edges that aren't on TheatreMonkey's plan of the Palace. I expect restricted visibility for some of the edge seats, particularly where the pillars are involved (I seem to recall that Palace pillars are approximately the size of Californian redwoods?), but we're going to have to wait at least a few more days before feedback starts trickling in. See, my seats warned me: 'The view from this seat may be partially restricted by the low overhang of the Circle.' (exact wording) I couldn't for the life of me remember where the pillars are in the stalls, and no plan I found online was helping that. I agree with your feedback comments too.

I feel you! I'm a bit of a seat snob but feel I might have to relax my snobbery slightly for any chance of seeing this! Keep trying! I just got row E in the stalls for Saturday/Tuesday next week. I took the plunge. I was looking for a pair which made it harder. I'm booked in for the 28th/29th June. Row V right at the end of the row in the stalls. Hopefully the seats won't be that awful, worried about them but oh well! SOMEONE TELL ME I'VE MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE!!!

I am holding out for less restricted seats so suspect I'll be on Friday Forty from now to eternity. I feel you! I'm a bit of a seat snob but feel I might have to relax my snobbery slightly for any chance of seeing this!

Damn. How are you guys spotting when they are adding tickets? Are you just on the site all the time? I've been looking a couple of times a day just in case. Pot luck I guess.

Spotted this earlier. Sadly everything offered to me was in the Balcony which I've vowed never to sit in again after the extreme lack of legroom experienced when I saw Priscilla.

Another vote for a spoiler thread, not that I have tickets. Didn't manage to get in the general sale and will have to keep trying my luck with Friday Forty, but I still want it to be a surprise.

Still a shedload of tickets at lots of price bands available for booking in the circle for the 10th Anniversary. Managed to book mine over the bank holiday weekend. The prices are a bit eye watering but having been at the very first preview in London, I like it when things go full circle in my life and wanted to be there. Hopefully it'll be a special night.

Have to say Disney have marketed Aladdin really heavily but I supposed they have a marketing budget that exceeds any other theatre producers aside from Warner Bros. They must be expecting this to be a hit Still don't think anything has beaten the onslaught of Book of Mormon stuff pre-London opening. It does make me happy that there's some producers around that realise that no matter how big a name the show is, it still has to be pushed!

Have those that are having problems tried downloading another browser on their iPad? There's google chrome or mozilla firefox both for iPad and there's lots of times where I've had issues with booking systems on Safari on my iPad, tried it on one of them and it's worked.
Give it a go!

Yes how DARE someone accept a contract extension in one of the biggest shows in the world over having no money coming in. It's such an easy industry to get another job in too. She must surely be getting bored with the role now, and I personally would like to see her in something new. I think she's a talented performer and would like to see her in a different role. But if she's auditioning for stuff (assuming she is) and not getting anything then a contract extension comes up, it makes sense to take it. She shouldn't be phoning it in, that's an acceptable criticism.

I think it's more the fact her performance is coming across as tired, I know the last time I saw her which was a while ago now she came across as though she didn't want to be there. I'm all for her staying in secure safe job, it's what we all want really, but in a position where it's your job to entertain and deliver you have to still do that no matter how long you've been there. I think that's a totally fair comment to make. Daniel's was just ludicrous and quite frankly insulting.

Elphaba is returning to London! The Ultimate Elphaba is returning... this is just the best news! Majorly annoyed about Katie Rowley Jones though, she must have serious fear of unemployment.
