I've just had a look at Diary out of curiosity & I see the top price tickets are £45 the same as Berenice despite that running nearly 3 hours whereas Diary apparently will be only 1h15. That seems pretty expensive for such a short performance! I was lucky when getting a last-minute return for Berenice that it was stalls H1 which not only had an excellent view but was also near the stairs. I was decidedly surprised when I got there to find the only entrances are at upper circle level so everyone has to file down two not very wide staircases to get to the dress circle & stalls. I found myself wondering during the performance what would happen if there was a fire or bomb in the foyer...
I'm curious to know how much crossover of members there is between here & the Ballet Forum. So far I've only come across one person who I know is on both, apart from myself, but given people might use different usernames I don't know if there are others? (My username is the same.)

I’m on both but have different usernames. I’m Pulcinella on the ballet forum.

For those looking to go to Diary... it might be worth reading this thread in the ballet forum when choosing seats. The sightlines at the Linbury are pretty poor in places, and that thread has a decent number of responses about good & bad areas. Thanks for that - interesting read! Seems bizarre they can get things so wrong in what's as I understand it an entirely new theatre! Luckily I'm in the central stalls for both Phaedra (same seat as Dawnstar had for Berenice, coincidentally!) and Diary.

I read BalletcoForum regularly but don't contribute. I spent about a year only reading it before I got up the nerve to post when I first saw the Royal Ballet live last October. I feel deeply inexperienced compared to most of the posters.

Does the ROH put returns back on their website? I would like to see Billy Budd and have only one possible date in mind.

Does the ROH put returns back on their website? I would like to see Billy Budd and have only one possible date in mind. Yes, returns go onto the website. From what I’ve seen, returns don’t go online at a specific time (eg first thing in the morning each day), so tickets can appear online at pretty much any time during office hours. One thing I’ve noticed is that the page for the show doesn’t always seem to be in sync with the specific day ticket sales page. So, for instance the page listing all performances might say that 3 tickets are available between £X and £Y, but when you click onto the seat selection page there might be 5 tickets for sale. So if you’re limited to a single date anyway, it’s probably worth checking the specific page (eg go directly to this page www.roh.org.uk/events/37259/tickets instead of this one www.roh.org.uk/mixed-programmes/within-the-golden-hour-medusa-flight-pattern ) Also, they do Friday Rush, so that’s probably worth trying too: www.roh.org.uk/events/friday-rush

2019/20 to be announced on 14 May. It is quite strange they have opted to announce so later this year, considering all the other big hitters in the world have already released their 19/20 seasons.

If anyone is interested in Tosca tomorrow (thursday) night, we've just had to return one stalls seat. Downside is, you'll have to sit next to me.
