£110 is a kick in the teeth for us isn’t it? Regular theatre goers ( some of us also ‘supporters’) year in and year out, taking the rubbish in our stride, hoping for a National Theatre to reflect the British stage, work in English and best translations from other cultures with some new plays to stimulate interest. A well loved play comes along at Christmas time for us old ‘uns to enjoy and make the Xmas family outing but hey, hang on, we need decent seats, hearing a bit dodgey and eyesight not what it was and we just can’t afford to go. Have fun guys.

They should be unhappy. £110 for a ticket at the National is a disgrace

tbh, the NT doesn't do itself any favours with cancelled previews - how much is each of those in lost revenue.

£110 😰
Is this because of the show's "star quality"??

The rehearsal photos look... well... different.
Not sure why Algernon would be wearing a corset.
Or doing some sort of routine on top of a piano surrounded by an ensemble.
All very curious.
Having played Algie and directed the show, I just struggle to see how those elements work with the text.

I will try the Friday Rush for this one. I was number 43 in the queue last week and didn't manage to get the 10 pounds ticket - but they also released a few 20 pounds tickets, so I bought a 20 pound restricted view pair instead.

Will this make 3 Dr Who's on 3 stages simultaneously.. ?
It's quantum superposition gorn mad. What's the collective noun?
*Trafalgar, Pinter, Lyttleton
and Paul McGann in Greenwich in The River - but he finishes before Ncuti starts so not quite 4 on 4 stage simultaneously... And The Master is south of the river at the Old Vic. Will the universe split? Or at least the Whoniverse.

Not sure if you saw my earlier post, but Max Webster’s aim with his production is to queer everything up to the max. Not sure the play needs this as it’s already very queer, but here we go. Expect lots of Ncuti/Hugh action.

Seems a bit of a facile approach to be honest.
And I say that as a person who has staged a fair amount of queer theatre.
Hey ho

I too will be at the first preview. I booked it deliberately to avoid the originally scheduled first preview but that got cancelled so hey ho. Hopefully it will go ahead.
