Has Jamael confirmed he is leaving? I keep looking for cast change announcements but can't find anything so assumed it's a bit early. I have tickets for the evening of 30th November so am hoping this is the last show before cast change.

Karl Queensborough will be Hamilton full time and Stephenson Ardern-Sodje will be the alternate Hamilton. They should announce it officially next month.

I'll be sad to see Jamael go, he was 'my' Hamilton and I've been lucky enough to see him several times, but 2 years is a long time in such a full on show, particularly for the lead, I'm excited to see what he does next. I'm also looking forward to seeing Karl Queensborough in the role, I've not managed to catch him yet and have heard good things.

Interesting that they are getting rid of the paperless ticket system from December. Tickets booked online will be posted one week before the performance. They will also do group bookings for 10 or more people.
I wonder if they are now struggling to fill the house every night. I'm pretty sure they are still doing good business, but when I went last week there were a few empty seats in Stalls. I assumed they were sold but people couldn't make it, but maybe they weren't completely sold out.

Oh it still sells out, that isn't the issue, just it isn't the hot hot ticket it previously was, and they don't think it's at as much risk of touting now. It's also given them the opportunity to ditch Ticketmaster and bring the ticketing "in-house".

I might have to go back now just to get a real ticket in my little ticket collection book.

I wouldn't be surprised if Delfont develops its own paperless tickets in the near future.

I went for the first time to see this on Thursday and was prepared for a massive security rigmarole to get in, but it took seconds as they only swiped my credit card and gave me my ticket. No ID or email confirmation requested even though it said you would need it to get in. There were quite a few empty seats in the Royal Circle and I even saw people leave at the interval. Personally I wasn't impressed (I don't regret seeing it, I just don't need to see it again). I saw four shows on my trip this time and Hamilton was my least favourite. Clearly I wasn't the only one who felt like this as I overheard a few conversations in the bar at the interval from disappointed and indifferent audience members.

Still very popular with the US tourists. But they don’t need to pay the extra staff to run the paperless ticketing.

I don’t know why I put myself through the stress but I’ve booked for January too. Took more than 10 attempt and I still got an error message but also a confirmation email!

I've booked for a Sunday am tour myself just now. Tried doing it on-line, but the website was really slow. Ended up booking via the DMT customer service centre.

Typical I'm away for a few days, without access to theatreboard, and a tour of the VP has been announced and all booked up!!!
SO gutted, would have loved to have taken a look round when it's empty!
If anyone can't make it, let me know, would kill for a tour here!!!

I was disappointed by it to be honest. Was hoping more for a doc about how it came to the stage but it was more about the actual history of Hamilton and lots the same or similar still shots of the production. Still nice to see

I think the cast change is on the 16th November. I hadn't seen that date anywhere. Where did you find this info?

I'm surprised that nobody has commented yet on the fact that Cameron Mackintosh abandons the paperless ticket thing and will return to "normal" ticketing for Hamilton in December. Apparently the big demand for tickets is over.

Since I had only just read about it, it didn't occur to me that this was already known and discussed weeks ago on another page. As you were then.
