I too hope that what you are given at the theatre will be a proper souvenir ticket

I've just read the Guardian article:
"(...) To that end, he said, he had designated 295 seats per performance to be priced at £37.50 or less"
That doesn't sound too bad to me!

Theoretically it should be a smoother process than Harry Potter. The Cursed Child customers were buying for two performances per week, whereas Hamilton is one... I don't know if the capacities of the Victoria Palace and THE Palace even that out comparatively, but either way I'm telling myself it won't be quite as cray cray.

So from reading the various posts this afternoon seems that even when public booking opens at the end of the month it will still be administered by Ticketmaster and I can't see the system changing to choose your own seat. Not sure it's worth waiting until then if they will still allocate for you. Grab what you can when you can. My problem is that I really don't mind sitting in the middle of a row as long as the legroom is ok. But if the legroom is not good then I always choose aisle seat. Not been to this theatre in years but I do remember legroom was awful. We don't know if the referbishment will change the seating.
God when did going to the theatre become so stressfull? And it only January.

Should be interesting to see what happens on Monday. I was interested to note today that Ticketmaster have hived off Motown, Thriller and This House to sell through another "partner" agency, with "select your own seat" provided by Londontheatredirect. I wonder if they are really shaking up their whole West End operation? As for the Victoria Palace auditorium, I recall reading that the stage is going to be wider, and Sir C wants to restore boxes at the sides. My personal guess on layout is that centre aisles will be in short supply. Biggest hope is that he uses the same seats as the Price Edward in the circles to provide a bit more legroom. Anyway, I know I'm getting slightly edgy about all this when I found myself "screen shotting" the URL link on my booking code email, and printing it off. That way, I have the unique URL link so I can manually type it in on another machine if need be. Oh the joy of hype... The centre aisle will likely be gone in favour of continental seating. Given Cameron changed all the seats of the Prince Edward prior to Miss Saigon opening so the VP probably will get new seats as well. I can't wait to see what he's done with the VP when it reopens

I heard they were going to quote Parsley but his double spacing would have taken up too many column inches.

@theatremonkey, can you not use your name and influence to wangle a little more info about the plans for the auditorium?

@theatremonkey , can you not use your name and influence to wangle a little more info about the plans for the auditorium? I hate to be a suck up, but I can't remember the last time I booked West End tickets WITHOUT checking the Theatre Monkey website for advice on seating, and I would hate for Hamilton to be the first exception.

To clarify on the seat choosing drama: is it likely to tell you what seats you're paying for so you can decline and try a different date/price band, or are we going to pay for a price band and find out later what seat we've been given? Not the latter surely?

Ticket master profile updated, password checked and double checked as it never seems to be what I think it is at the time and Payment details saved and ready to go. Let's do this!!!

You will select the price band and it will offer you assigned seats within that price band. If you dont want them you will be able to reject them and search again

My luck was in for the Harry Potter booking with the semi random seat allocation, and I'll cross my fingers the same will happen with Hamilton.

Previews 21 November to 6 December 2017: £32.50, £47.50 or £79.50 Premium Tickets are £127.50 (with £190 Premium Tickets on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 December 2017)
What's so special about the 1st and 2nd of December???

My bet would be that Friday and Saturday are the two best selling days of the week so they're charging more for the 3 weekend shows that fall near the end of previews because they can.

I think it's best to assume seating will be pretty much the same as it was.. but maybe centre aisles gone. They can't magic hundreds of new seats from thin air. Also best to assume the back stalls will be rubbish and the front of the upper will have a handrail again

Reading this thread makes me glad that all the shows I've fallen for over the last 10 years have been ones that have had some reasonably-priced tickets & haven't sold out months in advance. It must be very frustrating to fall for a show but not be able to see it a second time till months later. I'm glad I have no desire to see Hamilton, having a strong dislike of rap music. Good luck on Monday to those that do want it.

Yeah i decided i wont be using my code on monday. Nothing ive seen about the show makes it a must see, more curiosity than anything and the last couple of majorly hyped shows (matilda and mormon) didn't live up to the hype so I'm in no rush. I will see it eventually but as the show is the star I dont need to worry about having to see the opening cast either.
the pricing and the likelihood of not being able to select the seats also puts me off at the moment

Basic seating chart has now been added on ticketmaster. From what I can make out of the numbers, I assume more seats may be added.

My Priority Booking email finally came through. Phew!
Are you just able to book online for this, or is there a number to actually phone to get tickets?
