thank you both for your reply. Ok the Grand cirlce is it i think. I want to see Hamilton but its not a must-see so to speak, obviously if i love it then thats a case of purchasing again i guess.
Whats this 'fly' newsies from afar..you gotta be joking!!!! yes you see the Spot Collins gang ( who are the weakest element in the show, not the performers of course - certaintly not- but the girl gang just not really given anything to do )

Yes, thirded! Sat front row centre of the Grand Circle when I went and although there’s not much legroom, it’s a great view, and I didn’t feel too far away from the stage. I think we paid about £65/70 so quite cheap by Ham-standards!
Just avoid the centre aisle seat and the next one in - there’s a rail at the foot of the stairs which TheatreMonkey says could intrude on the view a little.

I've had the seat immediately right of the centre aisle and found it didn't really affect my view at all. I'm 5 ft 8 tall though. If you're shorter it may intrude a little.

Dress circle is my go to to appreciate the set and lighting design. I've sat in the Grand Circle once, perhaps row C/D, and that was perfectly fine. Also a central aisle seat and railing didn't hamper my view - 5 ft 5 here. Have they changed the size of the magnet? I picked one up around 2018 and have since passed it on. I've no inclination to see the show again any time soon so I ordered one online (site linked below, not sure if legit though I have purchased from the Creative Goods Broadway shop before) and the magnet feels smaller and lesser quality. westendmerchandiseshop.com/products/hamilton-magnet

Along with the UK tour announcement, looks to be extending for London. Had the DMT+ email for early booking for performances through to 2nd March 2024.

Don’t know why but I just had a feeling this would be touring and would be the palace Christmas show when it was added to the big night of musicals next week. http://instagram.com/p/Co62oPfNaNV

I went to see Hamilton for the first time since the cast changed last summer (late I know), and let's just say I had a...'chaotic' night. I thought I might as well share my experience as my misery might bring others some entertainment.
The show wasn't very well sold tonight being a random Monday, so I got a pretty good stalls seat for £30, about an hour before the show. Unfortunately as little as the audience were, it became quite apparent early on that those who were there had seemingly all come together on a special coach trip for nuisances, who should all be banned from theatre.
I was siting in the aisle seat, so was happily getting out to the aisle to let people into the row before the show started. I didn't have time to eat before hand, so bought some crisps from the bar to eat while I was waiting, and sat them under my seat whenever I had to get out.
It was all going well until I got out to let a couple in, and when the lady got into the row turned to her partner and said 'Oh look, CRISPS!' and proceeded to kick my tube of crisps down the theatre for no reason whatsoever, rolling down about 5 rows. I was absolutely livid, so I ran down and caught them before they hit the orchestra and came back and said 'Is there a reason why you kicked my crisps away?' to which she just replied 'Oh, sorry about that' and started laughing. I've genuinely never experienced anything so ridiculous at a theatre in my life! I thought I had seen it all before, but obviously not.
Unfortunately for me the good times kept on rolling, and about a minute later a lady asked to be let in, but when I got out she walked up to my seat, took off my jacket and started putting all of her stuff down. I pointed out really nicely (But absolutely over it inside) that it was my seat to which she was about to argue with me, before her partner jumped in and said 'Sorry, we're actually a few rows down'. She was apologetic but I suspected she was slightly drunk, and had another pint of beer in her hand.
This couple sadly became more of a focal point than the actors for the rest of the night...They kissed each other repeatedly with the loudest and most horrible smooch sound I've ever heard every two minutes, kept talking extremely loudly and laughing to the point where the steward had to approach them and tell them off four separate times. Every single time they were told off though they found it hilarious and the lady turned to her partner and said 'OOOOooohhh SHHHHHHHHHH' extremely loudly, which was even more distracting. Strangely they weren't asked to leave during the interval and continued to be annoying all night - I just don't understand how some people can have such a lack of respect?
To top it off, a man behind repeatedly kept whistling random tunes during the show and often at quiet times, I was starting to wonder if I was unknowingly taking part in an Ant & Dec wind up for Saturday night TV.
The actual show was great though! I didn't see the cast board, but I'm pretty sure it was the alternate Alex Sawyer on as Hamilton and he was absolutely fantastic. I felt that Shan's voice was slightly tired, but she still sounded great and her version of burn brought the house down.
One person that I wasn't really blown away by was Joel Montague to be honest. I know the king is typically a comedic role, but I found his portrayal slightly panto at times. I just felt that it really clashed with the stellar serious acting that everyone else was doing, but maybe that's not entirely Joel's fault.
Overall the show was in great shape, it's just a shame about the audience!

I felt the same about the audience when I saw the show back in January. People constantly talking and checking their phones, and of course eating and unwrapping sweets noisily. A few patrons were clearly drunk and still they brought back some more pints after the interval in those horrible and massive plastic cups. I have the feeling that I was the only one there trying to pay attention to the show. Don't think I'll be visiting the Victoria Palace again anytime soon.

Re Joel Montague. Not sure how professional it is to do an Instagram live from his dressing room, still in costume during the interval. The subject? A rant about how he and his now wife Carrie Hope Fletcher have been trolled on social media since their wedding . Surely this is not in his Hamilton contract??

I doubt they will like that at all, but he is coming to the end of his contract so perhaps he's not worried?

So sorry you had such a frustrating / irritating time at the show musicbox. I’d be complaining to DMT about the FOH staff not removing the offending couple at the interval.
Nothing annoys me more than those people who don’t give a monkey’s about ruining it for their fellow audience members. Perhaps a swift removal might have encouraged them to think twice about behaving like this next time they attend a show.

I’ve also not seen this new cast yet but will be making my second visit to the room where it happens next month. Can’t wait to see it again having loved it when I first saw the show last year. Very much hoping I’ll get to see Shan when I go - thought she was an incredible Eponine when I saw her in Les Mis.

A rant about how he and his now wife Carrie Hope Fletcher have been trolled on social media since their wedding . Surely this is not in his Hamilton contract?? Yes, I totally agree with this - it's very unprofessional and wouldn't be allowed in any other workplace. It reminds me of when I went to see ALW Cinderella last year and Joel was doing an unofficial meet and greet with Carrie's fans at the top of the stairs, with a queue of young women right up to the bar. I have nothing against Joel and really like Carrie as she was absolutely lovely when I briefly met her, but I've been finding her behaviour on social media bizarre recently, to the point where I've started to wonder if she's actually struggling a bit - I really hope not! I'm hardly a massive follower though, so I've maybe picked it up wrong in the few posts I've seen. So sorry you had such a frustrating / irritating time at the show musicbox. Yeah I really was tempted to complain, but it happened before the show started so felt like a million years ago by the time it got to the interval and just couldn't be bothered with the hassle to be honest! I can't stress enough though that the VP staff are all brilliant and I'm sure they would've helped if I had brought it up.

I thought I was going mad when couldn't find a thread for Hamilton but turns out there have been no posts for six months so it is really far down the list!
Saw it for the first time since 2018 last night. Really enjoyed it and sat in good stalls seats for the first time.
I wonder if there is some cast illness, it turned out nearly all the lead roles had understudies on: Hamilton, Burr, Mulligan/Maddison, Laurents/Philip, Angelica, Peggy & Eliza.
So only leads on were for King George, Lafayette/Jefferson & George Washington.
Is this a record?! Anyway, it mattered not as they were largely excellent and really enjoyed the show again. I'm sure most the audience wouldn't have known understudies were on and a great reminder of how good they are!

I saw Hamilton on August 25th and there were understudies/alternates on in the roles of Hamilton, Burr, Laurents/Philip, Lafayette/Jefferson and Angelica. Only found this out after the show when I checked the website, and yes, wouldn't have known otherwise as they were all excellent. Alex Sawyer (the alternate Hamilton) was particularly stunning. I was really pleased to have seen him in the role.

I also came on here today to post about Saturday evening and the number of alternates and it was quite a night!
We had Samuel Sarpong-Broni for Hamilton, Aaron Lee Lambert for Burr, Hassun Sharif for Laurens/Philip Hamilton, Matthew Elliot-Campbell for Mulligan/Madison, Jordan Frazier for Angelica, Simbi Akande for Eliza and Lindsey Tierney for Peggy/Maria Reynolds. There wasn't a weak link in the entire company and the energy was exceptional - it's been ages since I've been in the Room Where it Happens but I came away feeling that this is in great hands and has maintained such quality and energy. I do have to say that Aaron Lee Lambert and Jordan Frazier were really wonderful.
This may just be my perception, but Saturday felt very much like the performers had a little more freedom to put their own nuances in some places.
And I must give a special mention to Lemuel Knights (Lafayette/Jefferson), who absolutely stole the show for me - he acted every second he was on stage and I couldn't take my eyes off him. His voice is wonderful but his acting and his characterisation were just next level

It was like I was hearing certain lines in the show for the first time the way he delivered them.

Hello! Does anyone know when the next cast change is? And who's likely to be staying/going?
