Love a bit of Jamie Muscato think he’ll be great as Guy. Unsure what to make of CHF as Girl. She’s a bit ‘park and bark’ for me and Once is such a gentle story. Will she play it with a Czech accent I wonder?

Why does everything need a concert version nowadays? A quick buck I guess. Jamie is quite hot online right now. Less risk than the full thing? Shame they won’t resurrect the tour from 2020. It was brilliantly cast packed full of actor/musos and sadly cut short when Covid hit. Our local theatre sold out for it.

Stall seats £74-£116? 😳 Grand circle for the £49 plebs. I mean I love Jamie. But this isn’t a Jeremy Jordan event.

I was really hoping this announcement would be a new run, perhaps back at the Phoenix, but sadly not. Still kicking myself for missing this with Ronan Keating a few years ago 😞

So excited to see "Once in Concert" advertised. Then I saw the casting.
Sigh.

Such a small intimate show swallowed by a barn of a theatre. Still it’s £££ over art.

Never seen Once and all I know is the send up Forbidden Broadway did which was hilarious. The film is one of my favourite films ever, but the changes for the musical made me hate it. Same with Moulin Rouge, the film is too precious to me to start messing with.

So this person makes an interesting point here about the casting of Girl

When these concerts were at Cadogan Hall the ticket prices were around half of what they are now, but what deters me the most is the cut down running time compared with the full staged versions. That was the case with both Secret Garden and Camelot.
£93-£116 for decent seats does seem a lot for probably a sub-two hour show including interval. I'll be waiting and hoping for a price cut near the time (as happened with Secret Garden)

So this person makes an interesting point here about the casting of Girl It's all to do with sales expectations surely. For a one night concert you have to have recognisable faces in the cast.

Don't enjoy the concert versions. As much as I love Once I'm going to pass this time.

Why does everything need a CHF these days? Couldn't agree more!! Its almost like they've not bothered to look for anyone else, yes CHF is good enough but this is clearly a money grab.

Could I suggest maybe adding a concert page to the main menu please? There are so many concerts these days.

They wouldn't have someone else singing on the trailer, would they, so this is, presumably, Jamie and Carrie.

Over in the comments section of the Facebook WOS post they’ve dubbed Carrie Hope Fletcher the James Corden of the west end. I’m inclined to agree? Any trained triple threat actor/musicians out there. At all? In terms of her continued stunt casting due to her socials. There’s barely any interaction on her Twitter meanwhile over on TikTok Jamie has had over 8 million people watch a few seconds of him being a ‘dreamboat psychotic’ Maybe he’s the big draw here now? vm.tiktok.com/ZMFewKeyL/Millions have reposted their own videos using that song btw saying they ‘would open the door’ to Jamie Muscato

I'm not sure why CHF is being criticised for playing Girl when the original Girl on Broadway was Cristin Milioti who's American.
Considering the West End production cast Ronan Keating as Guy, people can't really be annoyed at this casting.

So this person makes an interesting point here about the casting of Girl I think she may be referring to both characters. Why not an Irish actor playing the part of Guy?
