Oh my... a London theatre I hadn't been to yet! The Peacock Theatre is actually pretty large - seats about 1,000 - but it doesn't seem to have many shows these days and nothing like coherent seasons.
Still, glad to make its acquaintance (very friendly staff) to see this Bollywood-themed musical which isn't at all complicated on story (a romantic tale which basically serves to present a selection of Indian dances and culture) but is wonderfully colourful - costumes and projections - and has some great music, and dancing which is both athletic and enthusiastic and has plenty of funny moments and gags too. Highly enjoyable and went down well with the audience. No live singing but then that's the norm in Bollywood?
Written, directed and choreographed by Rajeev Goswami this is uncomplicated fun.
