I'm assuming that Glinda is still arriving by bubble? Don’t be too sure… looks like this is the entrance scene? Of course they might add bubbles later… love the Beware the Wicked Witch poster btw!  I did notice that. I appreciate that this can be CGI'd in but ) personally, I home that she does. It's in keeping with the original Wizard of Oz film Also, later on in Act 2, Elphabah screams at Glinda "Not all of us can arrive by bubble!" |

I’m going to assume that throne like thing that she is standing in is part of the bubble with the rest to be added later with CGI. It gives it that mechanical look which is in keeping with the show. But also as the Wizard doesn’t actually have any powers the idea it looks like an invention that he has created rather than an actual magic bubble.

Just gonna put it out there, I don't like Cynthia Erivo. She's a talent and has one hell of a voice- I've heard here live- she got three ovations and I've no doubt that she'll slay this role but there's something about her- I can't quite put my finger on it- maybe it's the way she holds herself, or comes across in interviews- but she just ain't my cup of tea. I agree, she lacks warmth on screen/stage. And yes, her personality and attitude doesn't help either. I agree with both of these posts. The casting of Elphaba and Glinda is kind of dampening my overall enthusiasm mixed in with it now being in two parts. I really want it to be great but I'm sceptical. I do like Ariana as well but her voice to me doesn't say Glinda? If anything I'd have thought she'd more an Elphaba. |

When they announced Ariana as Glinda I was thrilled. She is such a fan of the show, has a heavenly voice and has previously been on Broadway.
These leaks only just confirm that they made a good casting choice. Her vocals for No One Mourns The Wicked are ethereal, and she looks absolutely stunning as Glinda.
Normally I am a staunch Elphaba fan, but for this movie, I'm a Glinda fan all the way!

The sets look great. The costumes look great. The vocals sound great. Who knows how the final product will turn out but I’m getting very excited! Hopefully we might see a leak of Cynthia as well soon. I’d imagine they will use this same set for the cat fight scene.

The shots seem to be from very far away and hidden in the nearby bushes haha!! I guess that’s the risk with outdoor filming .. hence Jon posted the teasers a day in advance knowing that somehow the visuals would definitely be posted by someone |

What I just noticed in one of the aerial videos, at one point in the bottom right corner, you can see them rehearsing the wand broomstick fight.

The audio leaks are getting proactively pulled down now. Shame but I get it. I'm glad they were up at all though, I have to admit I've always been a bit wary of Ariana's casting, only knowing her pop voice. *SO* glad to be proved so very, very wrong... even through all that long-lens air she sounds stunning!
It's interesting they're filming that number now though, with 70 location filming days on the clock, I might have guessed they'd do other things first but I guess the Shiz set is going to take some time to complete and there's a lot more scenes to be filmed there, I suppose.
Wonder how long we'll be till we see a trailer? I'm guessing they've done with the interiors and it's just exteriors and a whole bunch of VFX now...?

I'm not sure about Ariana - my problem isn't with her voice as such, it's more that I've never really been able to understand her. I'm not seeing anything to ease that worry, though I am sure it's something she can sort out, and maybe has. She's not the only singer who has left me thinking "Nice voice, if only she wasn't singing through a mouthful of cotton wool". It's fixable.
Cynthia...oh, how I wish they hadn't cast Cynthia. Even if she's amazing - I just do not like her.

Another leak on Twitter revealed the end of No One Mourns The Wicked, and Ariana does the famous Chenoweth/Hilty/Mauzey opt-up.

I do think this is a totally fair ask by them, but can't help wondering if anything they do is ever gonna bring... them... down

There are glimpses of Dorothy, Toto, Scarecrow (Jonathan Bailey) , Lion, Tin Man (Ethan Slater) , as well as Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard of Oz in the footage that was shown at CinemaCon! I wonder who was cast As the Lion and Dorothy?
