A cousin from Seattle, Washington USA is going to start at the University of Chester in their musical theatre program. I'm hoping this is an excellent program. She originally was going to be at a university in Wales - and I don't know what happened to make the change.
Thoughts? Positive and negative. But, I'll only tell her mother the positives!

The negative would be - a university isn’t the place the study Musical Theatre. Look in the programmes of most shows and the majority of people come from a small number of colleges (Mountview, Arts Ed, Laine, GSA, etc). Sure there are exceptions to the rule but it is rare.

Think it's fair to say it's not exactly highly ranked in anything... Seems to do the practical aspects in collaboration with the local theatre in Shrewsbury (which is where the course is based, rather than Chester).
