It’s actually embarrassing now and cursed! Mandela 👀 count myself lucky I saw that… oh god yes i remember that! Great show but literally a 50/50 lottery it would be cancelled.

Just close it. It’s clogging up the west end!

When there are great shows queuing up for the right sized house, it does seem the best thing to do. Frost clearly has had enough.(obvs when it’s broken even.)

It’s a shame for the rest of the cast who want to perform too.

What’s wrong with all the MJ’s? Covid maybe? I saw it 3 weeks ago and there was a full cast, no understudies. I thought it was fantastic!

I watched a few curtain call videos on Youtube - now I know I'd only want to see this with Myles Frost.

Yes, that sounds very murky legally. I’m not sure they’d get away with it. Pretty sure that Frost is probably earning more than the rest put together.

At the outset he committed to being “better” about announcing when he was going to be off. Made it sound like he could choose his days and it looks like that’s exactly what’s happening.

I have seen this 8 times now and only seen Myles 2 1/2 times! All of which were Wednesdays (I don’t usually go Fridays and Saturdays due to work) and have seen 4 different MJ’s over those visits

So this “cast illness” cancellation then. Presumably it’s the actor playing MJ who’s called in sick because presumably every other cast member is covered. And given that there are several (three?) MJ’s does this mean they’re approaching the MJ alternates to ask them to cover the MJ who’s sick and they’re all declining? Or I suppose the sick call is coming too late for anything to be arranged?

Both Kieran Alleyne (alternate MJ) and Kwamé Kandekore (standby MJ) are *also* standbys for Michael (normally Mitchell Zhangazha) so could be some other combination of illness too.
