Interesting that Ron & Hermione have become the Granger-Weasleys and Harry & Ginny are just the Potters, so all 3 recognisable surnames are still there and so they don't have to double-barrel one of the most iconic surnames of the 21st Century one presumes!

Possibly part of the reasoning. But I also think it is in-character for Hermione to want to keep her name.

Well, technically they're listed as Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, and Rose Granger-Weasley, so that suggests to me that only the kids are double-barrelled. I think it's perfectly in-character for Hermione to keep her own name, but I do feel that she wouldn't have had any argument from Ron when she suggested it, if - indeed - he wasn't the one to suggest it to her.

Is anyone else trying the Friday 40? I am currently in a queue, not quite sure what I'm queuing for as the selection is meant to be random.

Oh, and now the queue is paused.

I am also currently in a queue. Apparently said queue is paused. I don't know what this means although I assume they've allocated lottery tickets and are waiting for people to pay for them before confirming if there are any left over.

I think we were queuing for selection,I'm assuming it's paused as people buy the tickets. I had it open in a couple of windows and the wizard in one walked a lot further in the queue than the other ones. I'm assuming it'll be over soon since tickets have been paid for.

Now sold out - So seems to take around 30 mins to find out you haven't won. I guess it's much quicker if you have!

Yes, it looks like it's a 30 minute process. I guess I'll have to bring lunch in - I foolishly thought it'd be more like the Hamilton lottery, where you find out immediately you haven't won.

Did people lose their marbles when Adrian Lester played Henry V, out of interest? 'Cos Henry V was a real historical person who was white, and what with Laurence Olivier and Kenneth Branagh there'll have been a popular image in people's minds too, so I'd be interested to hear if there was a comparable backlash. Yes, on the National Theatre 50th Anniversary Arena documentary Lucy Prebble (who was Sir Nick's assistant) said the National got hate mail because of the casting of a black Henry V.

Insane queue outside the theatre at the moment, another invited dress presumably. It's all the way from the box office at the side of the theatre, in front of the theatre and up Charing X rd to outside the giant Foyles!
Also the theatre front doors are open so the huge selection of merch is visible! There is a lot of stuff!

I really hope the queue won't be like that everyday. Especially as you will have to go through it twice.

Mammoth queue still there and I assume it is meant to start at half 7 (5 minutes from now). Seemed to be doing back checks etc, presumably to stop recorders etc). Maybe arriving an hour before is wise.
Feel I should say, the big queue is for the gallery(ies? What ever the side entrance is for). Main entrance has no queue.

I hope they get better at these check ups otherwise you are gonna get out of Part 1 and immediately start to queue up for Part 2 haha

EDIT: So despite having what I think is the second invited dress for Part 1 there hasn't been a peep from anyone on twitter etc. Guessing they are doing non disclosure agreements for them. Also, can I say how refreshing it is to have a show that is so ready before previews begins that a week before it can present something. So many shows would be barely begun at this point but they seem to have allowed themselves plenty of time (and money) to keep things ahead of what most people would consider a fair schedule.

I assume once previews officially start, they'll be allowing people to talk about it.

I laught if it got bad reviews imagine; Harry Potter and the Cursed Play. The show is critic proof, it'll likely have recouped and made a profit already and likely will run a long time. Given JK Rowling's involvement, I doubt it'll turn out bad

Yep. The tickets were issued under VERY strict instructions to not discuss the show with anyone... In any way, After seeing the performance. I hope they get better at these check ups otherwise you are gonna get out of Part 1 and immediately start to queue up for Part 2 haha Or save yourself the hassle, dont leave the building and bide your time by buying yourself an excruciatingly priced glass of wine and a hufflepuff matching socks and pencil case set. I assume once previews officially start, they'll be allowing people to talk about it. J.K Rowling has posted on Twitter what looks like a badge that says #KeepTheSecrets. They may just be for the dress rehearsals but I can imagine them giving those out every night. Of course people will still talk about it but it's to encourage them not to spoil the story.
