I don't disagree with the fanfictiony criticisms, and I felt that way from seeing the plays long before reading the texts. Obviously there's nothing wrong with fanfiction, but this element (same one poster J is thinking of, I reckon) didn't feel like it came from one of the better fanfics.

Considering the sheer amount of fan fiction out there... would they have had ANY chance to create a story that couldn't be considered fan fiction? Especially with the crucial element of JK Rowling's great writing missing from a play script by default?

If I remember correctly , I was only asked for date and price bracket last time. There wasn't even the option to choose, say, Dress Circle or Stalls. I had the Monkey's seat plan open in case I was offered something really rubbish, but otherwise didn't feel brave enough to reject the seats I was offered in case the site collapsed..(Fortunately they were in the "white" coded areas just off the edges of the stalls and I am assured they were fine)

Do we know if/to what extent the price bands are going to change with the new booking period tomorrow? I know they've said max price £140 which will be up from the current £130, but do we have any other detail?

I booked via Nimax but I hear ATG are the same for this?

To be fair - not everyone who accuses it of reading like fan fic appears to dislike it, according to that buzzfeed piece. And the other two papers appear to have taken the same few tweets and made it into a big story. Frankly, anyone who ends a tweet with the word 'bye' is probably someone whose opinion the Potter world can live without. ;-)

The main issue is they're not just mildly unhappy, most of them have a hatred for the plot. Just look at Amazon, Reddit, Tumblr. It seems like people love the show when they see it but the script isn't anywhere near as appealing. To be fair, I'm not surprised considering the reviews of the show focused mainly on the effects, performances and theatricality rather than the actual plot.

Does anyone know if they will be releasing tickets for "sold-out" dates or anything in 2016? I really don't want to wait another year and see the show after spoilers have flooded the streets.

I wonder if some of the reviewers are less forgiving as they are unable to see the plays themselves and are either consciously or unconsciously resentful about the whole thing.
I'll never stop rolling my eyes at the people complaining it's all dialogue, or the script of a forthcoming film though.

I don't really see the point of the queue if it doesn't mean you're any nearer the front, is it just to try and avoid the site crashing at 11?
