I'm already dreading the prices that it could be and it hasn't even been announced yet.

Maybe the cats and dogs home will have a bit less money left for them in my will! Sondheim will have to have some.

Yes, MrBarnaby is completely on the money here. One of my closest friends is one of the designers on the new iteration of the show and was hired for this over a month ago. They wouldn’t be hiring crew if it wasn’t a done deal.

Xavier Every single person who did the first concert will return for a possible 6-8 week engagement? I don’t believe that. Idk maybe I’m wrong.

There is ZERO chance it will be anything like the original line up. Salaries alone wouldn't make it possible.
It will probably be about 6 people, and maybe they'll swap people in and out during the run, depending on availablility.

Id put my money on, if Bernadette Peters is locked in, Jeremy Secombe, Janie Dee, Haydn Gwynne, maybe Gary Wilmot, possibly Holly-Anne Hull or even Anna Jane Casey after she wraps up panto? Would be excellent to see Jenna Russell in there.

It wasn’t clear that your question referred to the new concert and not the recording of the old one.

They are staging the concert again, with Bernadette headlining- but a less starry line up performing the same numbers.

Such great news that this concert will be on BBC2! It was one of the most memorable of the year. Lets not forget the previous Christmas Cameron musical didn't make it to the airwaves last time - Half a Sixpence - so there's still time for him to get into the edit, interfere, throw a strop and call it off, again.

Dench ain't going in tour let's be real This isn't touring right? Surely just a short engagement sit-down?

Just the thought of Bernadette Peters in the West End, that’s exciting!

It ended up on Sky Arts didn’t it - along with the Cameron Mackintosh puff piece documentary. Glad to see the BBC picking this up as it will have a far wider audience.

Yes it did, both were on sky arts and both can still be found on Now TV at the moment (rewatched them couple weeks ago).

But considerably later than originally advertised, 2/3 years right?

Dench ain't going in tour let's be real This isn't touring right? Surely just a short engagement sit-down? It’s a limited season , in the west end. At a Cameron theatre. NOT touring. With as many performers as possible that appeared in the concert, but it obviously won’t be all of them. Bernadette will be the main headliner.

Some facts about availability:
Clive Rowe leaves Sister Act 22nd April - not sure if Jeremy leaves then too. Charlie Stemp is doing CFY transfer but Lehman Trilogy does not close till 20th May Anna Jane Casey will be done with Mother Goose by April Petula ( she does Poppins, so I’m sure could do this & Cam Mack loves her) is free from January. Jenna, Janie, Rob Houchen, Julian, Maria, Rob Brydon, Haydnn, Rosalie , Gary Wilmot, Bonnie have no big runs announced for 2023 so far.
We know Michael Ball is booked with Apsects & Michael Xavier with MFL.

Looking at venue dates... a six-week run at the Prince Edward after Poppins before ATP opens at the end of March.

I think Rosalie is booked with Aspects. I remember she was rumoured to be doing it.
