Signed up for the 12pm presale and was around the 2000th person in the queue. Kept refreshing and refreshing and managed to get a grand circle ticket for £75 around 1pm

There's a handful of the most expensive tickets up at the moment, if you have a grand to spare

Some great seats, but it’s a month’s rent or mortgage payment for most people! I had a £75 ticket in my basket at one point, but I just couldn't justify even that price for one night at the theatre. Would've been the most I'd ever paid!

My seat in row G is almost directly behind yours in F and I agree that for the £125 price point that's very good. Most seats that are £65 for Les Miserables were priced at £250 or £175 for this concert so by that measure better value than most.

Anyone have any guesses on who the “More Names to Be Announced” might be?
I really hope we’ll get to hear Rosalie Craig singing Being Alive again!

My absolute top request would be an appearance from Angela Lansbury, though at this stage I'd think it would be as a guest speaker or to introduce something. But I may be asking too much there!

I doubt there are more "big" names to be announced tbh, it wouldn't make sense to announce them after the tickets go on sale. Surely some other musical theatre names like Janie Dee, Joanna Riding etc will show up

Or even Ruthie as she is about to appear in Passion.

Or even Ruthie as she is about to appear in Passion. I'd rather have Donna Murphy (someone who can confidently sing it!)

Oh, not Ruthie please. I've avoided her for years!
She's totally going to be in this now, isn't she...

It would be weird not having her there, considering that Sondheim was a big fan and she played so many of his roles. Anna Francolini was also great in Sondheim roles but you don't hear much about her nowadays

I guess it also depends on how much they want to appeal to American fans if an album/dvd is done. There are a lot of great Sondheim actors (Dee, Riding, Francolino, Spiro etc) whose fame is very local, so if Cameron has international ambitions he might try to get more Americans involved. Some more diversity wouldn't be bad, especially if they plan to do something from Pacific Overtures.

If it's starting at 8 and any planner will know there are likely to be longer than normal applause/ ovations both when the performer comes on and finishes so maybe 15 songs max for a two to two and half hour show? They maybe able to band a few performers together for group songs but the list already has several stars the audience will want to sing solo, too many and it becomes more spot the star night over a commemoration of his music.
Wonder who the three they are lining up to do the got to have a gimmick number

Wonder who the three they are lining up to do the got to have a gimmick number I think you are right but a couple of the names might just introduce rather than perform, like Julia Mackenzie who I don't think will sing (but I'd love her to). Didn't someone say a few pages back that there are 2 "big" names to be announced? We can now have some fun until May speculating who will sing what. Maybe we can take bets?

I don't understand why they are doing this in such a small venue. Seems like it would have made more sense to do this at Royal Albert Hall considering how many people would buy tickets for this.

Surely some other musical theatre names like Janie Dee, Joanna Riding etc will show up I promise you, there are some huge international names. They may end up being "surprise appearances" though depending on their health. Additional: nobody is doing this for a payday. This is going to be a celebration. Everyone booked is there for the right reasons.
