I'm there tomorrow and Wednesday. Didn't think I could do tomorrow originally so have been stalking the website for returns - got one quite close to the back, and then snagged another ticket in a better position so will be returning one probably. Then front row on Wednesday. Could you please post timings when you've been as I'm going on Saturday and trying to work out if I can make the last train home. Thanks.

Of course - will post for both nights as Wednesday might be a better example.

Then front row on Wednesday. I have two tickets to the matinee show on saturday the third that i can't use, and they wouldn't let me return them. could you tell me what website you bought the returned tickets on so i could figure out a way to sell mine? i dont want to lose out on the 60 pounds

I'd love to go tonight but I have to be up at 6am for work in the morning and it's a long old trek back from Wembley for me. So I am just going to have to wait a couple of weeks when I'm booked to see it. Gone are the days when I could go out all night to the "disco" and go straight to work in the morning.

Managed to get two front row tix for Monday night now! £30 is great considering how much they go up afterward.

For anyone coming later to this - the merch queue tonight was a bit on the long side! As in, massive.

For anyone coming later to this - the merch queue tonight was a bit on the long side! As in, massive. Thanks for the heads up. I'll make sure I get there extra early. Are you able to tell us later what they are selling, mainly a life size model of Jeremy Jordan?

The main spoiler I’m hoping to hear from tonight (in spoiler tags of course) is whether we are treated to the excellent moving scaffolding during ‘Once and For All’ and whether that moment hits it out of the park the way it did in NY.

They're very good dancers, but at the sacrifice being good actors without exception.
That being said, crikey it's a bit good.

Lots of people are jumping off the stage and trying their best not to kick me in the face, if that counts as flying?
The consensus from people around me is this is very good!
Large stage, lots of flipping, lots of running around and above the audience, there’s even a slide at one side of the stage. Plus swinging on ropes.
No end of cheering and clapping.
Only thing that needs sorting really is the sound, as the words are difficult to make out at times. Thankfully I know the show.
And several of us cried during the reprise of Santa Fe at the end of act one!

From the few promo clips I've seen you could see how good the dancing was, and they have always used the excuse that there wasn't enough young talent in the UK. Bet there was a mass exodus from Arts Ed.

Really enjoyed this tonight - huge energy, beautiful set, and everyone seemed to be having a fantastic time.
The sound needs sorting out a bit, the balance was off in quite a few places, and I think they were going for an effect in Once and For All which didn't quite work (I really missed the moving set there). Nothing that can't be sorted out, and probably will be, it was a preview after all.
The only things I wasn't keen on were the whole 'in the round' aspect as a concept, though I felt they did well with it, and I really didn't like what they did with Brooklyn. Minor things though, and not enough to knock off a star.
It was a bit late starting tonight - around 7:45 - and finished at 10:25, so I think once they're actually able to start on time it'll be finishing earlier.
Forgot to add - there was a bit in King of New York that was a really nice callback to the film, not sure if it was intentional but echoes of the newsie on the ceiling fan.

Agree with everything above.
Although there were a few things I would change and didn’t 100% like, it’s not enough for me to say it’s not a 5 star show, The cast, in particular all the young male dancers are absolutely incredible, and the choreography was all so amazingly tight. That along with the incredible set is such a huge spectacle.
But the sound was awful and I couldn’t make out a lot of the dialogue and some of the songs sounded a bit ‘empty’. But that can all be fixed I guess and it was the first preview so issues can be expected.
A brilliant show.

Just to echo what was already said - was great! Sound was awful, but I felt like it improved halfway through the World Will Know? Suddenly, everyone became a lot clearer?
Chaotic start. Why they decided to open the doors only 10 minutes before show time is beyond me - people in wheelchairs were given no support.
Sound is a huge issue though. During the first 10 minutes, I genuinely thought that it was going to fall flat because of it. Glad they sorted it. Michael Ahomka-Lindsay was great - thought he developed really well as the show went on.
I do *hate* this obsession that some people have of screaming continuously though. The woman next to be howled the whole way through it - she genuinely sounded like Toad from Mario! Left genuinely half deaf in one ear as a result. So incredibly inconsiderate to those around her.

Great to finally have this in the west end after 8 years. I really can't give an unbiased review because it's one of my favourite shows of all time, but I really loved it. There are a couple of minor details I hope don't make it through previews (see: the random roll call?) and some of the flying adds nothing and is just there for the sake of it, but overall I was not let down after all those years of waiting. Absolutely loved Brooklyn (even if they do give it away in the programme) and the set is stunning! I will certainly be back.

As a production? Perfection. Everything theatre should be. Exciting. Genuinely jaw dropping. Vibrant. Exhilarating. Genius.
As performances? Pretty basic across the board (I really liked Brontë Barbe though). Jeremy Jordan was not the best dancer in the world but he made those songs soar and was genuinely moving - unfortunately Michael is not the best dance, not the best singer nor the best actor, and the show does sit heavily on him.
4 stars, and I actually don't think that will go up for the reasons above. The performances just aren't good, and so once you look underneath the spectacle...there's not a lot there.

Anyone care to share what is so special about Brooklyn?! We’ve just booked tickets for next Tuesday evening (Row L to the side) and I can’t wait to see what is so special!

We’ve just booked tickets for next Tuesday evening (Row L to the side) and I can’t wait to see what is so special! {Spoiler - click to view} All female newsies in Brooklyn. Who then join the ensemble for much of the rest of the show - one of the women was absolutely killing it! Wish I knew who.
