Longish gap between Overtures closing and Sail's opening. Hopefully they'll use the time to make the FOH space more appealing

Weren't they going to do The Bakers Wife this summer? Yup, that had been announced but then went very very quiet.

Could they not do Baker's Wife from June to August? I keep a list of "upcoming" shows to book and I had Baker's Wife down as early July to early September. I cant remember now if I got the dates from a Menier post or from this Board!

I do exactly the same and I had Baker's Wife opening 05 July but now I cannot find a single reference to that anywhere.

A quick search suggests Stephen Schwartz was talking about it last September. I don't think the Menier tend to list future shows in the way that, say, the National might though?

Weren't rewrites planned? I suspect Schwartz is presently caught up with Chenoworth and Versailles.

I'd imagine we should find out about their Spring season soon, and a transfer of The Producers?

How is this venue currently looking? Outside covered up with scaffolding and tarpaulin so you can't see anything. Inside, as far as the box office, bar and theatre is concerned, its just the same. I didnt venture into the old restaurant and toilets but my friend said it was a bit of a mess and smelt of paint. Mind you the toilets were always a mess.
