An interesting one for the UK.
I'm a massive Belinda Carlisle fan and even I know very few Gogos songs. There's so little awareness of their music in the UK.

If they market it at the & Juliet kids it might attract some interest. The Go-gos have tunes for days and it always surprises me that they didn’t hit over here.

Well, I thought it pretty terrible, it didn't perform well on Broadway and the songs are not well known over here (and not the right generation for the & Juliet crowd either).
I could see it getting a run in a fringe venue like so many shows, but I'd be surprised if a West End venue took a chance with it.
Hope Mill perhaps based on the subject matter (and if the licencing costs aren't prohibitive)?

Elaine played Heaven is a Place on Earth this very afternoon. If that isn't all the confirmation we need, I don't know what is! 🙂

I caught this in San Francisco during its pre Broadway tryout. Rush ticket on TodayTix. Didn’t have a clue who the Go-go’s were and I was a teenager in the 80’s. So I wasn’t familiar with any of the songs. I remember thinking that the ensemble outfits were heavily inspired by Hamilton. it was exciting to see Peppermint from RuPaul’s drag race on stage and she was good. Overall it didn’t have the quality of a Broadway show and I remember wondering wether it was gonna make it to NY

The Go-Go’s have just been announced as Billy Idol’s support act for his UK Arena Tour next year (their first UK live shows in over a decade, apparently?). Maybe they are getting the brand built up a bit to get this on the road.
I could see Divina de Campo stepping into the role Peppermint and Alaska have been doing.
