My dads paper letter took about a week to arrive. That said, he took it to come from away last night and it wasn’t even looked at, it was still folded up when he was told that’s fine and he could go in.

Random question from me, is it just ATG and Delfont that require Covid status before entry, i.e. Nimax don't? I am sorted because I am double-vaxxed and have the app, but am going with a friend to see something in a Nimax theatre on Monday who isn't double-vaxxed yet, so trying to find out if she needs to get an LFT or not?

That's all I seemed to have found as well, but wanted to make sure nobody else had heard otherwise. :-) She will get an LFT anyway (as will I), to make sure we're all safe, but she doesn't use the app or log her results on the website, so at least we know she doesn't have to.

When we went to Joseph on 17th (so socially distanced) we had to check in with the app. When we went back on 28th (full house) I didn’t see any QR codes like before and there were no requests to. We’d had an email asking for a negative lateral flow test which we both did but no one asked for.

Interesting new bit of theatre etiquette - I’ve noticed a couple of times since distancing has been removed that some people wear masks during the performance but then take them off at the interval so they can yak on to their companions even if they are staying in their seats with no drinks. Then they put them back on again when the show starts. I’m not at all bothered by this pantomime but I wonder how long it will go on.

I expect prove of vaccination to enter a theatre will become law, so reckon Cameroon Mackintosh got in there quickly.

I don't have a GP or photo ID I know the app you have to provide photo ID to register the app and that. So my theatre days are over. That if they just want the app though I know a lot of people are getting a letter. I don't have a GP so I don't know if I could do that.

Delfont Mackintosh will use covid pass for all their shows.
Just had the August newsletter and… no mention. Clicking through to book and can add tickets to basket and proceed and… no mention. I didn’t go further.
If you’re going to use this system it needs to be very clear. Why are they seemingly so terrified to advertise the fact that they are using Covid Certification? For us on this board it may be obvious, but maybe not so much for the once a year theatre-goer.

Unless venues insist on government issued photographic ID alongside the covid passport letter or App they aren't worth the paper they are printed on...you could be using anyones

I wasn't advocating false documents for travel, just stating when I attended 2 test events, one needed a passport or driver's license to prove the covid passport was mine, the other I was just waved through with no check on who the passport belonged to
