I'm too worn out to report back but I'll do so tomorrow. All I'll say now is that weren't no concert! It's as near to a fully staged show you could get AND will someone please kidnap Jeremy Jordan and not let him go home. We need him here full time. Dear God he's good!

Anyone who was there tonight, I hope you loved it. Anyone who's there tomorrow, you will love it. Anyone who couldn't make it this time, I'm certain it will come back in some form, they've put too much thought and care and effort into it for just two nights. The audience's reaction was fantastic and there is clearly a big market for it. Whether it would have the same appeal without Jeremy remains to be seen, but word of mouth for the show itself will be strong. Calling it a concert is selling it short, it's not far off a full production, with sets and props and costumes. Everyone is brilliant, particularly Natalie McQueen and Trevor Dion Nicholas, and of course the leads. Frances Mayli McCann is proper leading lady material, and Jeremy lives up to expectations again. No he can't pass for 25 anymore but the voice is sublime. Wildhorn, Black and Menchell were all in the audience, as were Tim Rice and Sam Tutty. Definitely get there early, the queues are mental. I think it started about 7.40 after a speech from a producer, and finished at 10.05. It is coming back- they are filming it for a cinema/streaming release

It is coming back- they are filming it for a cinema/streaming release I know, I was there. But I still think there'll be a further production as well. I think they'd be daft not to do a proper run. There's obviously an appetite for it!

The real question is if there’s enough appetite beyond fans of Jeremy Jordan and the musical itself. I’d love it to open and find its audience here but I don’t know how it would find its audience. It’s a great musical but sadly not all great musicals make great stage shows.
I don’t know that the story is enough to bring in an audience without stunt casting, and I don’t know that we have a male and female lead that can sing this score and put bums on seats. If they didn’t stunt cast it would need to rely on word of mouth and I don’t think it’s the right climate for such a financial gamble.

Despite numerous attempts to get it into the west end, It never happens. It would be ideal for Southwark Playhouse.

Well that was an "event" rather than a concert. Firstly the audience was amazing, at times like being at a pop concert. Loved everything about it. As others have mentioned this was certainly not a concert, more like a semi/fully staged performance with sets and costumes. I've been to a few concerts which sometimes feel very lazy with the actors standing in a line at the front of the stage and singing off script. I sometimes think that I have paid a lot of money to watch this so the least you could have done was learn your lines before. But this was nothing like it. I couldn't believe how well rehearsed it was. Cast was superb and I especially liked Natalie McQueen as Blanche who was so funny. Frances Mayli McCann was a proper star and just brilliant. I thought that I didn't know who she was but reading the programme realised I had seen her before in Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour a few years ago. And what can you say about Jeremy Jordan! The guy just oozes charisma from the moment he walks onto the stage. I had seen him twice before in concert at Cadogan Hall but never act in a musical. In the programme interview he says that he thinks London audiences are the best. Well I think he should stay. I am sure we can find more than enough work for him Lots of cameras in the stalls filming but very discreet and didn't block anyone's view. For those going tonight you are in for a real treat, just wish I was going again. Couple of tips for those going tonight. Massive queue for Merch so get there early if you want to buy stuff. There is a kiosk set up in the foyer but if you just want a programme then there are programme sellers wandering around the foyer so no need to queue. Programme is quite substantial with some nice bits to read. If you have pre-paid for your signed programme then there is a separate kiosk to collect those which is where the Frozen shop is as you go in on the left. Don Black was sitting 2 or 3 rows in front of me and seemed to really enjoy chatting to people in the interval. Also say Tim Rice leaving and I noticed on Insta that Rob Houchen was there. Finally had a lovely treat of sitting next to ruby and her friend and we had a lovely chat before the show and during the interval. Hope you enjoy the rest of your stay. Also caught up with anthony40 at the end of the evening and had a nice catch up.

Luckily working from home today so only had to travel from bed to kitchen table I've taken tomorrow off... Reduced timetables on Southern Rail make it risky getting home so I'm driving part way to London so I don't panic about running for the the last train or it being cancelled. Already know it's going to be a late night 🤦🏻♀️

Another thing I forgot to mention - I was wearing a thin jumper last night and it was very warm in there.

... but never act in a musical. This made me realize what made this not a concert but a staging... the singers were acting, not just singing the songs. I was expecting more the 'standing in a line singing' type of thing and instead found this to be a full (if abridged) performance.

Saw this last night and it was just sensational.
Firstly I've as yet to see Frozen so this was my first time in the Theatre Royal since the recent update and it just looks so beautiful!
And the theatre was full, with all levels open. Lots of theatre lovies out last night.
This was so much more than a concert; this was an 'event'
The audience were in a frenzy!
Having listened to the cast recording for ages now, it was great to see the songs in context.
I swear the theatre Gods came together last night.
The whole cast where outstanding.
Vocals were crystal clear. No sound issues. Lighting was spot on. The orchestra were right on it.
My only criticism is that it was a shame that this wasn't a full on staged production, instead of a semi-staged one- it was THAT good!
I can confirm my 'man crush' on Jeremy Jordan is still real. No only is he good looking, he makes what he does look effortless.
I'd go again if I could.
For those going tonight, enjoy.
Oh, I forgot to mention that I had Sir Tim Rice sitting three rows in front of me, slightly to my right.
I also saw alece10 on the way out of the theatre and walked with him to Holborn station.

Further announcement supposedly coming at 10pm tonight 👀 I really hope it’s not just details of the broadcast. I’d have loved to have gone to this, but being restricted to a Monday or Tuesday made it impossible.

So is this actually a good musical? It bombed in NYC.. I like some of the songs but it doesn’t blow me away. Interested to hear that everyone is wetting themselves over this concert.
My guess- it’s going to be doing a run at the Menier..

I saw this yesterday evening without having listened to the show before, and while it was definitely a fun evening and I enjoyed myself, I can't see myself wanting to see this again. I assume this reached cult status because it closed on Broadway before most people could see it? It was a bit bewildering, sitting in what felt like a theatre full of superfans cheering at every word and gesture (although people were encouraged before the show to get as enthusiastic as possible because they want the audience going wild on the recording.) Without the energy of the crowd, I think this would have been a 3 out of 5 stars show for me.
