Touring from the late summer. An intriguing prospect - Bourne says he was attracted by the anti-Noel Cowardness of Patrick Hamilton's stories of London in the 30s. Tragedy guaranteed, but gorgeously delivered I hope. I wonder if there'll be an original score, or a reworking of period music.

Also found it odd, that thay didn't say anything about the score. The most important thing about a ballet for me personally...

The name of the composer is on the poster image. Can't remember it but it was there.

Saw this last night in Brighton… absolutely loved it… very evocative and sensual (as usual with Bourne pieces)… great cast all playing their roles with dance ease… plenty to keep the roving eye busy too! Definitely recommend if it comes to your town.

In an attempt to expand my theatre-going experiences and thanks to some credit I had with the Liverpool Playhouse, I've just been to my very first dance and Matthew Bourne production tonight. As someone who has never been to anything like this before, I really enjoyed this production and certainly got a lot out of it. Matthew Bourne and his team have put together a really stunning production here both in the dance and the staging to tell the characters stories over the 100 minutes. The 1930's music from Gershwin, Berlin along with original music composed by Terry Davies was a joy to listen to. The cast also looking great in their 1930's costumes.
Having a read of the cast list prior to the show, it was nice to see former a former WE Billy Elliot in Liam Mower on stage again.
Certainly, based on tonight's show, I'd certainly be very happy to attend future MB shows in the future.
