I suspect with Fra it will be Beauty and the Beast commitments That was cancelled, no? I’m not up on Disney stuff so I’ll take your word for it. There is also another series of Hawkeye to be filmed this year I believe, perhaps that is the reason. I do feel it’s a stop gap. I am OK as I have a ticket to see Fra and then another for the next cast which I booked for July

They've only released the £30 ones until 25th June. 27th June onwards will be a new Emcee and Sally Tanks for the heads up. Tbf, the view from the Upper Circle doesn't actually look that bad.. however, I'm hoping they'll reduce the ticket prices for everything as the demand for this is surely going to drop.

I just remembered that Fra Fee and Amy Lennox did The Last Five Years together in Belfast!

It's a real shame Liza Sadovy is leaving as she was one of the strongest in the cast.

It's a veritable "who's that" of a cast. £250, you're joking, surely? Or over £300 in some cases. I think they will surely have to drop the prices.

Did have a wander at the interval and the views from all places looked good.

They've gone a for very little flash quite soon. Would bigger names want to come on later on?

I'm very excited who they have booked for July. This seems to me that the performer(s) they want as the proper takeover(s) aren't available until then, so we've got "safe hands" to guide it for a few months until they are. I wonder who it is...

Thanks - do you have any rows / seats which you think are best? I don't mind paying the £50 either. I sat in row C seats 11-12 and those were a really good unobstructed view. Not too far away and very central. I paid £30 for those, but I can see they're £50 now. How comfortable are the seats up there. I didn't find the legroom bad, but I'm quite short. My friend who's 5'10 ish said her knees were kind of poking through the bars in front a bit. I thought the seats themselves were comfy-ish. A bit narrow and not too deep, but the rake is fantastic. The reconfigured upper circle basically means your feet are about head level for the people in the row in front of you and there's a bar in front that even when you lean, the people behind you can still see.

Upper Circle centre seats are £50 and side seats and the back row are now £30 I believe. Sat in the back row and the way it is now configured, its a great view, but very high up, actually higher than the lighting rig!! Thankfully the way it is built, with high panels in front of you, stop it from feeling as steep as it is, and you dont get vertigo. The first time i sat in the balcony at The Palace Theatre, i kept having visions of me falling over the balcony, trying to grab the chandelier and missing... i have never been up there since.

Almost four months is a very long time for a filler... I doubt we'll see big names in this again

Saw Amy Lennox at Ronnie Scott’s last year with Cassidy Janson at one of CJ’s brunches. She was great!

Buti early for that question I think! I only asked as Inthenose said (s)he was excited who they have booked in July. I assume (s)he is in the know Actually no, I have no idea. What I do strongly suspect is that without Eddie Redmayne (practically a household name in the UK at this point) and Jessie Buckley, people (the public) will be very leery about spending such huge sums of money for this show, without a movie star they recognise. You can see "a show" in town right now - practically any show - for under £30, through a combination of day seats, rush offers and cheaper box office seating. This desperately needs star casting or it will fade away very quickly - that's my hunch, nothing more. I've seen this happen so many times with shows over the years which open to enormous fanfare, critical success and huge box office (with big star names initially) before the hype and box office advance dies down. Consider "Spamalot" as a prime example, it never got close to the advance it made when people paid to see Tim Curry, and by the end it was playing to a few hundred each performance. I've seen quality shows with amazing box office die within months after a poor replacement cast - consider "Miss Saigon". Sold out ticket to heavy papering within a few months. On average Cabaret runs around 2 years per West End production then tours, however this needs to run 4 years to break even. For that to be even remotely possible they need repeat visits ala "Chicago", especially with the decimated international tourist market. If I had already been to see Redmayne (I did), then why would I pay the same to see two people I've never heard of, who aren't famous stars, when I could go and see anything else and come away with hundreds of pounds change. In my opinion, they must have someone lined up already - someone really big - because this will die very quickly without star casting.

Ok, so it isn't "star" casting, but I'd say it's certainly "talent" casting.
And for me, who literally had to sit in one of the worst seats in the theatre in order to see it, it might be nice to be able to afford and sit in a better seat and see the show far better the second time, if tickets become a bit cheaper and easier to get.

I'd say it's not going to do that well without the stars (especially when one of them has made their name on being a kind of transformative actor), but I don't think it's entirely foolish on the parts of the producers. They need to be able to sell the merits of the show and they might as well start now. Moulin Rouge also has huge prices without stars. They need to get that kind of buzz going for this as well.
