What happened to Daniel Radcliffe? Was probably a fake rumour. Guessing they just brought his name up cause he was in Harry Potter like Eddie.

To be fair, they *are* appearing until the original date. Just and then some. Not sure you'd get far by trying to argue it was false advertising.

It was the case he was there until 27th June but that was also a little while ago, that was the original date he was leaving. He’ll be there beyond that date And possibly through September too as the BO told me the next cast change is October. Told you

I didn't see a pop-up that wanted acknowledgement of cast change for post-June dates like they had with the OG cast. I am surprised to see Elliot Levey leave, I thought he had intended to stay till October.

About the Prologue--Is it worth getting there early to catch a substantial bit of it, and if so, what is the recommended arrival time? I'm assuming that the announced curtain time is for the show proper?
(Just started reading this board from the US a few weeks ago to get informed for our July visit, so apologies if this has already been discussed at length.)
Thanks.

The prologue is fun and all part of the immersive experience. Give yourself time as long queue to get in due to bag check and covid check. The bar area does get a bit crowded though before they open the theatre itself.

Wondering who is leaving the Ensemble to be replaced by Gabriela and Adam I'm assuming they're additional swings! Cabaret has had quite a few covers and e/c and split shows recently!

guess Mr B wasn't on the money... I had it on very good authority. It may be the negotiation broke down at the last minute, something else bigger came up for him… I wasn’t making it up for fun! I was genuinely excited when I heard.

I wonder if they will stop asking for covid tests soon as I noticed on IG just now one of the cast posting that today was the last day of testing.

Fra Free could have been in Laura Baldwin territory almost.
I wonder if a bouble change had been planned and it was a joint deal if one didn't come the other wouldn't as regards possible June/July replacements?

What happened to Daniel Radcliffe? He's a huge star, I could never see him going in as third cast.

What happened to Daniel Radcliffe? He's a huge star, I could never see him going in as third cast. He would if he really wanted to play the part and valued the contribution he could make to a theatre industry struggling post-Covid. They'd get the press back in to watch him, so it's not like he'd go unnoticed. Not necessarily a wholly accurate comparison but Roger Allam went in to La Cage AFTER Graham Norton, also third cast

Given Fra Fee posted on Twitter only three weeks ago that he was leaving the show on 25th June, it's very likely that the planned replacement has fallen through, for whatever reason.

I don't think so, he would still be helping the industry to go into something else, something new. The press being back is not the same thing as being the opening cast, no build up, no awards. It just wasn't going to happen.

Wonder if Fra upped his weekly rate, he'd have been in a pretty strong negotiating position unless the producers had an option over him going forward.

Only sticking by the conditions for playing a part that you mention, I think would be pretty shallow for any actor. And as discussed recently on another thread (or maybe it was this one), you can get nominated for a takeover.

Not all actors chase the money or the acclaim. In fact I'd say Daniel Radcliffe is definitely one of those actors since HP. He likes to challenge himself and do different roles.
It's one of theatres iconic and challenging roles in a prestigious production, that could be enough. Its not like they're asking him to be the millionth Billy Flynn

Does Fra Fee do all performances? (Barring leave and sickness obviously). Has his attendance been good?
