The first preview ended at 22:00, so I wonder if there's been some trimming or if it's just running faster now.

Cassie must have committed to being in the UK for around 3 months with the current run and is in a profession where she will work away from her children or possibly brings them over with her. When the BBC Breakfast relocated to Manchester I think Sian Williams left as her two older children were nearing Exam years at school whilst her two younger ones were as she put it "portable" as they were both pre school age. So the issue with someone like Cassie could be more the children's schooling than being away from them.
Would a producer potentially offer her better terms if she did a longer run than a limited 12 week run ?
Although if the show did transfer and Cassie comes back over for the initial run and there was strong demand and with good reviews then it would be a sought after role and surely they could find a top level replacement.

I'm sure Caissie will be incredible and I can't wait to see her, but I agree that a continuation of the show could be just as successful with a replacement Diane. I can't help thinking how Rachel Tucker (who's the same age as Caissie) would be amazing in the role.

If this does indeed transfer next summer as I’ve been told, rather than earlier, it would be a real blow though to transfer without the leading lady who very possibly just won the Olivier. Time will tell of course how any of this plays out!

Also, it says limited tickets available for certain performances but when you click on the performance there isn't a single ticket on sale. Yes, according to the website, that's because seats are available for access patrons when they log in, even though it appears sold out. Ah that explains it, thanks.

They will only transfer this with Caissie, they saw nearly all of those other people for it and chose her.

Oh that I don’t know… I wasn’t clear sorry... some of those people were on a list, but that may have been for another London production that didn’t happen. They’ve certainly lucked out with Caissie here. She’s amazing as Diana.

Another American actress dropped out and he went straight to Caissie.
For the love of god can people stop throwing Kerry Ellis’ name into who could play Diana. With all due respect, the role requires someone who can act well.
Can’t wait for the reviews to start coming in!

These reviews so far are not what they will have wanted… or needed for a transfer

These reviews so far are not what they will have wanted… or needed for a transfer But it has what most other shows don’t - a built in fan base. If a show like “Heathers” can run for years at various theatres, I’m sure this one could have a successful run, as well.
