As a 'Friend' it says you can get priority booking for up to 2 tickets per production. Would they delete bookings if you got more than 2? (She says, keeping an eye on her emails...)

Should I join as a friend £85 so I can buy today or risk it for Monday’s public sale? I’m in the US and must see this London production. Is the show selling well now?

I would actually have loved to see Katie Brayben play this here (maybe too young though?) but Tammy Faye transfer is all but guaranteed so Caissie Levy will do nicely

Hoping a transfer for this is also planned. 8 weeks is a very short run and it's certain to be a very hot ticket. Even Band's Visit is having a longer run.

There's a very conspicuous six-month window at the Lyric that hasn't been filled yet

Dianne Pilkington is a name I’ve not seen mentioned on here yet but I would absolutely love to see her as Diana. Aside from the unique gorgeous vocal tone, she has a real subtle depth to her acting that would benefit this. Thinking back to her as Kim in Taboo or Fantine, for example.
I wonder if someone like Waddingham, with such a strong, commandeering physical presence, which is necessary for her witch-y roles and her turn in Spamalot, would mean she doesn’t have that fragile vulnerability which a character like Diana needs? The audience needs to be surprised of Diana’s strength which fights through the emotional instability, and someone like Hannah Waddingham is so naturally physically present and strong that you wouldn’t immediately think ‘vulnerable’ if you saw her. She wouldn’t be my first choice for a role like Jamie’s mum in ETAJ or Fantine, for example, for the same reason.

Waddingham can play vulnerable; Ted Lasso and The Beautiful Game come to mind. That said, I think she is completely wrong for this part. She just isn’t a Diana, brilliant as she is.

Marin Mazzie was a pretty imposing figure on stage and had no trouble playing vulnerability.
