I'm very pleased to see there will be a streaming option. We had tickets for this last summer but I do not think we are likely to feel safe travelling all the way from Cambridge to Chichester this summer, so being able to see it streamed will, while not the the same as seeing it live, be better than nothing.

I will be streaming too. Great they are offering that flexibility and a great business model to include people who may not feel comfortable travelling there or just life logistics.

I'm delighted this is going to be streamed - I can travel but I don't know if I want to for a show that I don't mind in a theatre that I dislike. Is this going to be the future? I kinda hope not as it can make for lazy theatre going

Hoping to go in person, but the streaming option is superb.

I’m a bit gutted I won’t be able to see this in person. In my 11 years of theatregoing I’ve somehow managed to never see a Rodgers & Hammerstein show. It also would have been my first trip to Chichester for a two show day with The Unfriend (I think?). Can’t justify the expense/travel for one show though, so glad its streaming.

Sorry to be *that* person, but Chichester have confirmed, in reply to a tweet, that streaming is only a hope at the moment, with more details to be announced as soon as they have them.
Best to have a Plan B, just in case!

Not just What's On Stage - the CFT website says: "The production will also be streamed (dates TBA)" Sounds as though that might be a bit of a premature claim. I suspect negotiating such things is very tricky - and if it does happen will probably be UK only.

This has just gone on general sale. I jumped on at 10:00 to get a pair in the front row on the one Saturday matinee I can definitely do (I don’t like chancing the trains home after an evening show there!

Hadn't clocked that their Prologue scheme goes up to 30 so as very pleased to book a £5 ticket to this today! Can't wait for July

They are streaming CRAVE - so fingers crossed they will for South Pacific too. As someone has quite rightly pointed out - may be UK only due to rights but not sure how that works.

I have zero interest in South Pacific but the voices on offer here have led me to book a couple of £10 seats. Will have to have a listen and get involved. Can anyone recommend a recording to break me in?

The Original Broadway Cast recording (1949) with Mary Martin and Ezio Pinza is terrific.

Can anyone recommend a recording to break me in? Personally really love the 2008 recording with Kelli O'Hara and Paulo Szot. And there's a recording in Spotify of a concert that was done with Reba MacIntyre and Brian Stokes Mitchell which is well worth a listen (Reba really fits the part well)

They’re announcing the rest of the season towards the end of Spring so there may end up being something you fancy in the Minerva in July/August.

Whoa that's so many dates. Would love to see this in person, but Chichester is a bit too much of a trek for the time being so very thankful they went through with the streams.
