Quite stressful for me, too, but I think it's probably all worked out in my favour. I had a seat on Row S in my basket for tonight, but as I was updating my card details, I think my time must have expired. Went back to the beginning and, after much frantic re-clicking, I was offered a central seat for the matinee on Row D, which I naturally accepted. Well it would have been rude not to! 🙂 ETA: We could have been sitting next to each other, Dr Tom. First I miss meeting FrontrowverPaul in Chichester, and now you!

This is why I'm not booking for anything at the moment, cancellations are happening all the time now and it's not worth the risk of paying out for advance trains etc. Fingers crossed this vastly improves from next week.

Shame once again. My third cancelled show of the week (second due to happen today).

Trafalgar cited 'precautionary measures' when they cancel a few performances of Jersey Boys last week so I'm guessing they're taking no chances with Anything Goes.

This usually means cancellations of at least a week, no? Though I guess after the 16th the current rules regarding isolation no longer apply.

Off sale until Sunday on TodayTix and on the Barbican website.
Although that would only be the 15th.

Not necessarily, Jersey Boys was back up and running by Monday after cancelling on Friday and Saturday, I'm guessing TodayTix and others are just playing it safe by removing performances until they know more.

What a shame and they had been doing so well with no cancellations. I think the gods have been good to me as, so far, I've seen everything booked but it could be me jinxing these shows as so far I have seen Les Mis Concert, Palladium Panto, Hairspray, Cinderella, Joseph and Anything Goes which all cancelled performances a few days after me seeing them. Word of warning for anyone going to see Tubular Bells, I am going on Saturday so you might be out of luck next week 😅

Well, I've now (as of 17:14) received my notification from TodayTix that the show tonight is cancelled. Not the fastest notification.

Gutted for all involved. And me of course, typical this weekend is my first 2 show weekend since the pandemic began. This on Sunday and Amélie Sat night...praying that doesn't go down too as I love this show (which was my last London show pre-lockdown 1)

Well I may not have seen the show, but I did at least get to see, from a distance, one of its stars. As I was leaving via one of the walkways, Bod Lindsay was down below waiting for his chauffeur driven Mercedes Benz to arrive. Lovely head of hair for a man of his age.
He was telling the people he was with that he'd been talking to Kathleen (Marshall I assume, not the woman in the Co-op) about the way she'd film it. It may come to nothing, of course, so we shall have to wait and see...or not see if it doesn't happen.
Thank goodness there are still some actors who can project, even though a face mask!

We came so close to meeting again this afternoon. I was outside about 1.45 when I noticed people coming out looking downcast ... I got chatting to a couple who had driven down from Manchester and saw one lady in tears bless her. Hopefully I'll be rebooked but very unlikely I'll get a similar front row seat as I had for today. People who had booked through London Theatre Direct were receiving credit vouchers just after 2, Barbican direct bookers advised to await contact

Interestingly, tickets are now available on TodayTix again - both as a general buy and rush. They were removed from general sale on there and now readded.

Received my "hope you enjoyed your visit" follow up survey from The Barbican. No I didn't, nor did anyone else but thanks for asking.
I guess they're automated but talk about adding salt to the wounds... Someone should have pressed a button or two to stop them.
(OT ... I couldn't just go home to Kent from the Barbican as I had an evening show booked in Essex. I filled time by rushing to Fulham and seeing a Bill Kenwright film called Off The Rails. It's not a cast-burst-into-song musical but features Blondie music throughout. Perhaps he's hoping to turn it into a stage musical, which might work but the story is totally formulaic and predictable and the music is just a background with minimal connection to what's happening on screen. Can't recommend the film, but Love Letters at the Queens Theatre Hornchurch definitely saved my day !)

Also gutted, had been so excited for it for months! We nearly booked a matinee for Be More Chill and see that has now been cancelled too, as has Joseph!
Fingers cross Come From Away is still going ahead tomorrow!!

Managed to get tickets for Mary Poppins, so at least the night isn't wasted. Just keeping everything crossed for Singin in the Rain tomorrow!
