I just watched the UK premiere of the Broadway production of Bandstand on stream.theatre. I think it's my favourite thing I've seen since lockdown of all the things that have been shown online. Having to watch it at 7.30pm kind of made me feel a bit like I was back in the theatre, and seeing a big show with great singing and dancing was so nice. Laura Osnes, as usual, just sang beautifully. It's a really nice show, it's showing 3 more times (tomorrow, Sunday and Wednesday) so catch it while you can. Highly recommended and I doubt we'll ever get a WE production given it didn't play long in the states.

Corey Cott worked extremely hard improving his piano skills to play that tricky score and delivers a phenomenal performance. Unbelievable that it didn't earn him a Tony nomination at the very least. One of the best shows of recent years.

Having watched tonight's streamed performance, I'd highly recommend watching this. A really charming production with 2 fantastic leads in Corey Cott and Laura Osnes. It was nice to have some behind the scenes footage after the show with interviews with some of the cast and creative team.

Interesting how this from the same director of Hamilton and so everything is choreographed with an inch of its life.
Two great leads but I couldn't help feeling its a one acter that's bloated out into two acts and peppered with a couple of good songs.
3 stars from me

In case anyone was still wanting to watch, I thought it was worth mentioning that yesterday’s stream, wasn’t actually a one-night stream. It’s available to watch on-demand until Saturday, and so you can still purchase a ticket.
