I thought she would be safe based on her first dance. Her second one is what seriously let her down. I’m guessing bottom two will be her vs Jamie. Really not sure who they will save.

Anyone getting 18 in a semi final is not dancing well enough to deserve to progress
That jive was woeful. HRVY danced a far better jive in week one...

Ranvir was lowest but her best dance scored more than either of Jamie's, same with Bill.
Hopefully that will mean Jamie will go if he ends up in the bottom two.

It has been a strange series in terms of dances. 1 Rumba and 2 AT...
Yes, it was a smaller cohort and they lost a couple. But having a withdrawal is far from uncommon on Strictly.
They need to up the variety of dances next year. Keep things fresh.
And Couples Choice should be not be allowed in the quarter or semi final.

Guys, help me out - what is the song that Ranvir and Giovanni waltzed to? Ta Un Giorni Per Noi by Josh Groban Originally (and without lyrics) it was the love theme from Zeffirelli's Romeo and Juliet, although probably better known these days as Our Tune.

And Couples Choice should be not be allowed in the quarter or semi final. Couples Choice should be banned altogether, it's just an excuse to get through a week without learning any real technique or finesse.

I heard it was the other way round 🤔 It is indeed the other way round. Yeah you’re right, the initial spoiler I saw was wrong. The correct one is now up.

Wasn't sorry to see that couple leave. You need to be more of an all rounder to be considered a potential winner. Which means doing the fast, fun dances as well as the slower in-hold numbers. It means mastering Latin and Ballroom. It also means having some entertainment skills beyond looking nice in hold.
There are only two dancers with the technical ability to be worthy of the win. And I don't like one of them forca range of reasons.

I don't really know why I don't like her but I don't want Maisie to win. No logic at all in my reasoning. I want to see the lad who can't spell win. Seems a very grounded likeable character and had consistently been the better dancer.

There are many who find it hard to like Maisie. I am also part of that group. She can dance but I don't like watching her. Even with Gorka.
HRVY presents in a more likeable form and is a wonderfully natural mover. Sure he has plenty to learn. But he is watchable.
That Charleston was modern, fresh, athletic, light and entertaining. I don't like the music but they used it well and took the dance in a new direction.
Bill has long since stopped improving. His own 'style is not dancing. It would be great to have an older winner. But they have to be able to deliver the right steps.
Jamie is fun and has exceeded expectations. But enough is enough.

I'm #TeamHVRY all the way, although I do think Maisie is brilliant and would still be happy if she won.
If Bill wins I will consider it a wasted couple of months of telly!

HRVY also comes across as a really nice guy , humble and also the fact Jeanette has never been in a final too.(he's not bad to look at ether!)

I think they've all benefitted from a shorter series and getting to skip more dances. Some of them have really skewed ballroom:Latin:speciality ratios.

I dont think that's been a benefit at all - none of them come close to the standard some celebs have reached in previous years and they all seem to have had a bit of a lop-sides experience in terms of dance variety, though part of that is due to the dreadful Couples' Choice option.
