If we can fill in the blanks, I’m going to get my husband to create a model to predict upcoming performances. He’s a programmer with an interest in ML so apparently this will be fun for him.

If Tyrone has performed twice today, hopefully that means I'll get to see Ricardo on Tues

Think I need to stop checking this topic. Always look in case there is something interesting about the show, but it’s just become people obsessing about cast combinations and pointlessly trying to predict something you can’t predict.

Interestingly, I think that Mary has no effect on any model but my husband wants as much info as possible. He started noodling on about Markov chains but it was a bit over my head.
Anyway, I’ll post an update on here when he’s finished. I love our JCS community so much 🥳😻🙏🦄

There aren’t even any interesting pie charts or histograms to illustrate. 😂

Anyone can take the topic off into a new tangent and the people interested in the stats can still have their fun too. It doesn’t have to be a linear discussion.

Looks like they each do 4 performances each in a full week. That implies that Mary on the 5th was Anoushka. We'll have to rely on Happysooz's other half for the prediction of which days as that seems more random.
edit: drat just realised that the list above has some matinees and evenings combined. I still stick with Anoushka for that show as it stands at Anoushka - 3, Maimuna - 5 without it.

Tommy123, in your list can I ask if Wednesday 19th is for both matinee and evening or was there no matinee?

Nice segment on Songs of Praise yesterday afternoon about the OAT production of JCS, followed by an archive performance of Gethsemane by Shaun Escoffery.

I was just researching the productions I’ve seen live, one was the arena tour with Ben Forster, Tim Minchin who I thought was dreadful in it and Sporty Spice. The one before that was a 2004 Bill Kenwright tour with Glenn Carter, James Fox (Fame Academy apparently) Tim Churchill and Emma Dears. I remember enjoying it but being distracted by sitting in the Gods at the Palace where the legroom was so tight we had to hang our legs over the backs of the seats in front which fortunately were empty. It was also terrifyingly steep. I’ve never stepped foot up there since.
Somehow I missed the 2015 tour with Glenn Carter again, Rachel Adejeci (say that in the X Factor voice) and Rhydian Roberts who was apparently off sick for most of the dates. Of Glenn’s performance North West End said “If you didn’t know any better it could be Jesus Christ himself up on that stage” 😆

Anoushka was Mary on Saturday night, I've just asked a friend who was there.
I really enjoyed Pepe and Tyrone together last night. Last time I saw Pepe I felt the age difference between him and Ricardo made the Jesus/Judas relationship feel too imbalanced for me. Pepe and Tyrone play like they could be contemporaries.

That was absolutely incredible. I'm so glad I made the effort. When the cast lowered their masks and the Superstar fanfare played, the whole audience erupted in cheers and I might have actually cried a little. I loved the choreography and the way they'd adapted for distancing. I wasn't sure about Pepe at first but his Gethsamane was stunning and justas he started it there was a breeze through the trees and a few leaves fell which added to the moment. I spent most of the last half hour with my jaw wide open, so glad I had my mask covering it! God I've missed live theatre.

No effect I imagine. I don’t think they’re closing restaurants, pubs or theatres which use social distancing.. But you can’t have a party with more than 6, because people don’t socially distance.

The ‘at a glance’ section on the BBC article I linked to says it applies to bars and cafes. I’m just not sure if it means you can’t book a table of eight but you can book a table of four.
‘At-a-glance: What are the new rules?
Social gatherings of more than six people in England will not be allowed in law from Monday 14 September The new rule applies to private homes, indoors and outdoors , and places such as bars and cafes The rule does not apply to schools and workplaces , or weddings, funerals and organised team sports.’
No surprise to see sports are mentioned and not the arts.

Yes, exactly. No groups of more than 6 people.
