Just out of curiosity, as both Benny and Bjorn made cameos in both of the previous films, does anyone know know why neither Agnetha or Anna Frid chose not to? Agnetha presumably because she doesn't have much to do with being in the spotlight at all any more. I don't this she's quite a reclusive as she used to be.
She's recording again, having released at least two solo CDs.
She also recorded a duet with Gary Barlow a couple of years ago.
I remember reading that she was a G.A.Y. a couple of years ago. Don't know what for. I know she didn't sing- I member commenting of this very board about that.
She's also al lot more public and doing a lot more interviews. I recently saw one for Australian television.
Apparently the last time all four members if ABBA were seen publicly was at the launch of Mamma Mia! The Party in Stockholm
With regards to the new music, they had recorded two singles- can't remember the times- with Agnetha taking the lead on one and Anna Frid on the other. But apparently there is enough new music for another album, so who knows.

[quote authorThat's a very big move just to shoehorn 'Summer Night City' in. I love that song and hope they can include it somewhere. That and Head Over Heels, which is very under rated imo.
If MM3 really is happening, i'll find out and let you all know. [/quote]
Don't forget Summer Night City is actually in the original stage show as part of the Entr'acte leading into Under Attack and the dream sequence so there's always scope to use it in that way

I think that’s my favourite bit of the show onstage!

Summer Night's City is the scene change music after "The Winner Takes It All".

Looks like this is happening with a lot more well know faces jumping of board.
This just appeared on my Facebook timeline
Mamma Mia! 3 is a go!
All of the case from Mamma Mia! 2: Her We Go Again are set to return in a plot which features the wedding of Colin Firths character Harry Bright.
Joining the likes of Amamda Seyfried and Cher are Patrick Dempsey, Olivia Coleman and Jodie Comer.
Filming is expected to begin this summer with a summer 2023 release.

Nothing comes up in the news or Google come to that.

The fact that it says filming this summer for a summer 2023 release alone makes me suspicious it is a load of made up rubbish.

Olivia Colman and Jodie Comer's agents wouldn't let them go anywhere near this!

Olivia Colman and Jodie Comer's agents wouldn't let them go anywhere near this! Yes I'm sure they'd hate them to be in a massively popular film worldwide that will take hundreds of millions of dollars.

Yes I'm sure they'd hate them to be in a massively popular film worldwide that will take hundreds of millions of dollars. I just think they're going to have a lot more credible options available to be in films that will make money. Trying to squeeze them in to this franchise to ham about amongst an already out-of-tune over-stuffed cast wouldn't be a good idea profile-wise. In my opinion. But it's all fake news anyway, so we needn't worry.

I'm possibly more excited about the potential Comic Relief take off of it than I am the real film.

I would like to see the song I Am The City included in the third film.

Olivia Colman and Jodie Comer's agents wouldn't let them go anywhere near this! Have you any idea how many awful films OC has appeared in before Broadchurch came calling and she became a ‘dramatic’ actress. I think for her in particular it would be an excellent career move proving that she doesn’t take herself too seriously.

I think it’s exactly what Jodie Comer could do in order to make her a more likeable, approachable celebrity. No it wouldn’t necessarily do anything for her acting career but these days even more than ever, actors aren’t just actors anymore.

Al of the above is true but I guess it depends upon the characters they are portraying.

I agree they're brilliant, that's why I'm excited we might get a third one in a couple of years.

I actually don't find this (even remotely) funny.
I mean, I get the humour, but this didn't even crack a smile.
Guess it's jut not my kind of comedy.

Offer her enough money abd she'll be back. I see her point about the lack of famous songs, but then again finding ways to weave in the letter known sing would make for a more interesting film.

If I'm not wrong Meryl Streep too was wary about doing a sequel and she accepted because they found that compromise about her role in the movie, which was little more than a cameo. I doubt she'd do a third.
