Just had the email for the November run at the Cardiff wmc. They note prices will change as demand dictates but currently top price is 72.50 which would get you an upper circle seat in the colliseum.
Also run is Tuesday to Sunday. Matinees on Thursday and Saturday and 2pm performance on Sunday which would make the trip easier. No cast or orchestra size listed
Almost full availability it seems at present which is odd as thought they had a membership early booking scheme and would have have expected a fair few to have gone already.

Same Tue - Sun perf schedule for Bradford where the tour opens. And top price £69.50 for w/e, £67 midweek. Considering when they have Lion King there for a couple of months soon, top price is £81.50, and the Coli MFL prices go up to £175, a tour seat is a 'relative' bargain..... But lets see who the tour cast are/ how big tour orchestra is first..............

Alex Parker has confirmed he will be the MD when this goes on tour. Will he be bringing his own harp?

If they use the same orchestration as the US Tour, it does have a harp. It’s very similar (same orchestrator, actually) to what they did for The King and I at the Palladium.

I saw Adrian Lester play Henry V at the NT. I was surprised that they had given the part to a black actor. He was so good in the role that any concerns were soon forgotten, Is was a great show and Adrian is a great actor. If the actor is good then I don't think colour matters.

Still no word on Alfred P Doolittle's casting. I really, really hope they get this right and cast appropriately.

Still no word on Alfred P Doolittle's casting. I really, really hope they get this right and cast appropriately. Looking at bookings for early performances I think a "name" is really needed for this part to boost sales. Offer received today with prices from £24 for May/June weekday performances including maximum of £79.50 for most of stalls and dress circle.

I am still hopeful they've cast a black actor - at least the principal - to maintain the visual integrity of the family dynamic between him and Eliza. Robert Lindsay was terrific in AG - and also rather good in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. He can be a bit of a ham when duty calls, so I think he could certainly do the part justice.

Ah I misread and was actually thinking of him as Professor Higgins. Has that role been cast yet?

Ah I misread and was actually thinking of him as Professor Higgins. Has that role been cast yet? Yep - it's Harry Haddon-Paton, who played the part to very good notices on Broadway in 2018. He isn't an actor I am familiar with as I don't watch the shows in question, but he seems to be best known for being in The Crown and Downton Abbey.

He was super on Broadway - you really disliked him for most of the show and then he was hugely moving in I've Grown Accustomed To Her Face.
Also would like a black actor for Dolittle for obvious reasons - I'm sure we've discussed him already but Lenny Henry would be a lot of fun I think.

What would be your obvious reasons, out of interest?

Continuity with Amara as Eliza?...sorry is that a trick question?

Continuity with Amara as Eliza?...sorry is that a trick question? Oh no - no trick, nothing like that. I enjoy honest, non-personal or emotional debate and discussion. I am drawing a direct comparison in my mind to when I saw Amara Okereke in Les Mis. In the 2018 cast, Cosette was white as a little girl, black as an adult, and had a white biological mother in Fantine. I found it very jarring and wished at the time that there had been continuity, much as we both do for this coming production of MFL.

Also I think Lenny Henry would be fantastic and help put bums in seats. I really can't wait for this show...!

Shouldn't we be due to hear about the rest of the cast soon?
According to his IG Robbie Fairchild (him of Oklahoma and An American In Paris fame) is doing the floral arrangements in the foyer for the show.

Although I booked my seats when they first went on sale and before any casting was announced as I wanted to see this show i have to say I'm a bit underwhelmed by Stephen K Amos announcement. I think people were expecting a "name" and there were all sorts of suggestions in this thread. I doubt there will be a rush of ticket sales with the latest cast announcement but still looking forward to the show.

I had my doubts about Stephen K Amos when he was cast in My Night with Reg, as I knew him solely for his work as a stand-up comedian, but I was delighted that he turned out to be the strongest member of the cast. Real stage presence, and great comic timing. I think he'll be a great Doolittle.

He certainly won’t shift additional tickets for them but I think he could really excel in this role, which is what we want. I’d rather Stephen who has proven himself on stage previously rather than ‘someone off the tele’ just because they’ve been on the tele or a ‘name’ who doesn’t fit the role. There definitely could’ve been worse outcomes for this role. Sensible casting for this.
