People, people, we’ve already established this on t’other thread.
Time has no meaning anymore, so it can totally be Christmas now.

I have started stocking up on Christmas Puddings. Never that fussed about Christmas pudding but should you offer me a mince pie or a sausage roll! Just realised I'd managed to throw one of purchase and small presents into the dustbin, thank fully rescued without too much damage but frankly i'm feeling very guilty towards that tree decoration pig in a blanket (tartan not bacon) that I made spend the night out in the cold in the rubbish.

Anneka Rice mentioned this clip on her radio show last night. Watch it, it's very moving. It's about a Spanish prima ballerina in a care home who is played swan lake.

I have started stocking up on Christmas Puddings. I’m behaving as if there will be a world shortage of Bendicks Bittermints currently reduced in Waitrose.

Just noticed Robbie Williams new Christmas single Can't Stop Christmas. It references our year and even if you are not a Robbie fan, you should enjoy it!

Have posted the Christmas cards, bought all the presents, spent socially distanced time in the park with friends, spoken to several other friends, still have Palladium Panto tickets - and to top it all off I've still got my job and am not being made redundant, happiness is mine right now

Time to dig out the tree, although "dig" has a misleadingly agricultural implication for rooting around in the cupboard under the stairs to extract the long box of plastic tree parts. I don't go in for decorations much but I do love the look of a tree with multicoloured lights in a darkened room.

My mother has been fuming since the weekend about people putting things up for christmas so early. Today she put up her outside lights but was adamant she was just putting them up, she was NOT turning them on. A man with a baby walked past and remarked that he'd come back later and his daughter liked the lights. My mother ummed and ahhed for severals hours over her dilema. Then went and put the lights on in case the baby came back and was disappointed!

We have gone all out (well that's a slight exaggeration!) this year and have put some lights in our window. Last year we added a wreath to our displays on our door and this year we thought we had better ad another item. It's amazing though that this set of battery lights we have strung up had 6 different settings depending on how you wanted them to flicker etc! We have gone for the slightly more classy fade option where one colour fades out and is replaced by another. At only £3.50 they were a bargain!

Have just watched the Grasmere school nativity video they've done and put on youtube, filmed with the village school and nursery around their village and countryside and it's the cutest thing and made me cry. And proved that all angels should be wearing wellies.

It discovered it last night as it came on at the end of watching Kinky Boots.

This Nativity popped up on my youtube. I'm not normally a huge fan of kids stuff but this one is so well done . How times have changed with school nativity productions! A reminder of what Christmas is really about.

First time all year I've seen a postal delivery operative not wearing shorts! 😉 If she was a real superhero, would she need a van? 🙂

Cycled past this today, and all around - forgotten what an epic plot of land this is on, and right next to Covent Garden and the Opera House. I can quite see how the whole area will be fabulous when Frozen opens.

Just received a letter from a lovely friend - the first proper letter of 2021 - letting me know that she's ok, how she's filling her time and filled with optimism about the year ahead and the hope that we can meet up again soon. Not only is it lovely to receive letters rather than emails but one with no negativity at all is bliss right now - and she celebrated her 90th birthday last May!
