Have the mods taken a decision for there to be no specific discussions on the coronavirus crisis other than where it impinges on theatre?

Not really. There was a thread on it a while back but it started to get very doom-mongery and it was upsetting people. Then ProBoards issued a directive saying that they were clamping down on misinformation, so we need to be careful. If people want information they should be consulting proper sources, not relying on what people here think.
But there's nothing to stop people mentioning it in general, as a look through many of the threads here shows. Most of the "how was your day" thread is about what people are doing in the crisis.

Is that like the misinformation the national press is allowed to issue about "routine tests"?
