Not something to watch but to listen to...
I have been binge listening to The Corrupted on BBC Sounds. 50 episodes about an East End crime family from the 50s onwards. Toby Jones in the lead and lots of other familiar voices
Violent at times but always gripping.
Annoyed I didn't find it years ago. But am enjoying each 45 minute episode.

Just watched last night's "Isolation Stories" on ITV - short dramas written and filmed during lockdown. Last night's starred Sheridan Smith. All the dramas have been filmed at the cast's homes, with cameras operated by their families / partners. Surprisingly elaborately filmed given the restrictions their working under. Well worth a look. I thought she was rather good as well. Plus gives us a chance to have a snoop around their houses. |

Re: Isolation Stories, I wasn't sure whether I really wanted to watch drama about what we're going through while we're going through it but I thoroughly enjoyed tonight's ep with Robert Glenister and co. Quite moving and some funny parts.

My mate Tom and his dad were in last night's Isolation Stories. I felt the second episode was superior to the first however considering all of the filming constraints at the moment and the length of each episode that's to be expected. Any new programming is welcomed from me!

Yes, just watched the second one and really enjoyed it. As theatremadness says potentially difficult viewing as the series reflects circumstances we're all going through but quite an achievement in managing to be entertaining, and very well put together - the restrictions they must have faced while filming weren't apparent in the finished product. First saw steve's mate Tom's dad in "Sink or Swim" when he was about Tom's age and they don't half look similar! |

must be wonderful in a clear sky! The air is so clean now it looks fantastic, and if you have binoculars it's well worth going out again as it rises higher in the sky - you can see so much detail. |

Just finished watching Frankenstein and all I can say is thank god that’s over. Not my thing at all. Great physical acting from BC but I suspect JLM is better as the creature... but am I hell sitting through it again to find out!
The cut was annoying but fairly obvious what happened... I think it would have worked better with a fade added to make it look like an actual scene transition but if I’m honest I was past caring about the whole thing at that point.

The MOON, outside, right now! I was doing the same. I had came back my dog walk and was in the garden dancing my heart out to Kylie's 'All The Lovers' whilst staring at the moon and stars. It was just beautiful tonight. Luckily my garden isn't overlooked or my neighbours would have thought I was nuts. |

I've been getting up unusually early and caught the moon this morning at almost before first light, perhaps just after 5. It was outside my window - in the west, very low, and almost pink. It almost startled me, like a cat unexpectedly sitting on a windowsill or something.

I'm currently watching Normal People ... Two hours into this. This girl could be my granddaughter. I'm actually going through what they call an assessment atm (not a diagnosis!) so I am aware and can see what I think ... I can see. Very unusual for me to so emotionally invested in a character, it's very raw. Having said that it's perfect and beautiful, as well. Continuing with considerable trepidation ... |
